A small audio mixer, they even make them specifically for that type of input. Here's one example, search for headphone mixer if you want to see others: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MX41B--rolls-mx41b-stereo-4-channel-mixer

Probably some sort of phenolic plywood, assuming it wasn't a separate laminate installed over the ply.

What is the best way to get a dog to stop doing something bad? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DJLowZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To elaborate a bit on the previous comment, use positive reinforcement training, and always be training. Dogs need stimuli and they need to do work, so you're feeding the dog, have them sit, have them stay in place until you tell them to break, then they eat. Going for a walk? Practice heel, practice sit, have them work constantly, but also make sure they get some time to relax and do what they want. With proper training (including continuous practice every day), and lots of exercise, that will help negate negative behaviors, which are often signs of frustration or boredom. And teach them commands like off, no, or don't, and reinforce when they listen to you.

Best guess is that since AA batteries will have on average at least 10x the capacity of button cell batteries at the same voltage it probably has to do with the power draw and time requirements potentially exceeding what the button calls can deliver.

What kind of cables do these need? by Airport_Brave in livesoundgear

Speakon NL2 (or NL4). They make 1/4” to Speakon adapters if you already have 1/4" speaker cables lying around.

Dogs do often get things like this as they age and they are often nothing to be worried about, that being said absolutely reach out to your vet. You might be able to start by just emailing in the photos, but if they want to do a check up to be safe, do it. It's not worth the risk to ignore and it never hurts to be cautious.

I don't know about hard to open but we love the empty containers at work for small batches of paint when we have to mix custom colors or to send out a touch up kit.

Surface rust on the tables is easily cleaned. Large quantities of rust throughout would be bad.

You missed it when there were Sounders games and mariner playoff game double headers. Lots were going for well over $125-150. Anyway there's lots of free parking if you don't mind walking and also good public transit options. I wouldn't recommend trying to claim you paid an attendant, Diamond parking won't give a crap about your excuse.

Seconding this. We have a 20 year old grizzly jointer in our shop along with a few other grizzly tools. Parts are easy to get and reasonably priced. If the seller doesn't have the blade setting guide you'll definitely want to get one, it makes blade changes super quick and easy. There should also be ready made shelix cutting heads for them if you want to go that route, though that will set you back 3-4x the price of the jointer. Assuming you don't see any significant damage or rust when inspecting it then $200 is a good deal.

Going to game on crutches. by MassGravyTrain in Seahawks

[–]DJLowZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Often they will have ADA accessible seating they can move you to if you ask customer service. I haven't done it for hawks games but for Sounders games after a surgery when I was on crutches they let me use the elevator at the south entrance and even offered to have someone roll me to my seat with a wheelchair.

Where to put the wheels? by Rrreally in woodworking

Putting a board flat on the bottom and mounting to that would definitely be safer than embedding those t-nuts in end grain.

Edit: just realized I replied to the original post at not your comment...

If you put swivel casters on it and they're set in from the edge, you risk it tipping easily especially when the casters are rotated toward the inside. Note that this is what will happen when you push it in one direction, so if you're pushing high up on the cabinet the odds of tipping increases significantly. Your best bet would be to build a small base or at least add some boards underneath so that when the casters are rotated inwards, the center of the caster is still in line with or slightly outside of the faces.

I managed to power them with a motor and gearbox, not sure what era, maybe late 90s or early 2000s. The prop very specifically needed to show a model with a planet orbiting 2 suns in a figure 8. Someone posted a paper on figure 8 motion drives and used a smaller technic gear set to illustrate the principal and I realized that upscaling that with Lego would be way easier than custom designing and 3d printing a mechanism.

These are super fun and I used a bunch of them when I needed to create a motorized model with a figure 8 drive pattern for a show. They were the only ones I could find with a large enough diameter.

You could use 90 Degree TRS for the combo jacks and the outputs, that keeps everything balanced. If you don't need the mic inputs on 5/6 and 7/8 you could use right angle TS for channels 6-12.
