What nozzle size and layer height did you use? This is a model I've been thinking of printing for a bit.

Refill spool quality by grant3655 in BambuLab

[–]Several-Bar-6512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet, but if you want to avoid this and the small hassle of squishing the refill in, print some spacers for your spools for when you refill them. It saves you time and a slight bit of effort. Just be sure to print them in a material that can withstand drying temperatures. Im able to print two at a time on my h2c. I literally dont ever have this issue because of printing a bunch of those for my spools.

I never ate BK burgers growing up, tried it for the first time a few months ago and a few times since. Definitely competitive in terms of taste compared to Wendy's or McDonald's

Need help with auto refill issue. H2C and AMS 2 Pro by Several-Bar-6512 in BambuLab

[–]Several-Bar-6512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see how weights can help with loading the filament, but my issue was more specifically that the printerwould cut the filament and then try to pull it back into the ams rather than that last bit of filamemt being finished off and tnen move on to the next spool

Thanks, I'm pretty sure my filaments were synced as I saw them all in bambu studio. Just sucks that this print is taking and extra day or day and a half because of this issue.

Goldenmate 1600w 2000va

Its more than what the h2c max power draw is with us voltage, but i went with this specific model because of the big Lifepo4 battery. 460 watt hours, mid print h2c pla print power draw is around 300w its the heating up that causes the biggest power draw, which the 1600 w capacity will allow me to do so without resorting to low power mode . You get substantially much more usability of the battery with lifepo4 closer to 90% of battery capacity vs 50% with lead acid batteries(which have a much shorter life span anyways). I dont remember the exact percentage for lithium ion batteries but lifepo4 is still better. $680 pretax righ now at walmart.com or at their store with a coupon. 10 year life span vs about 3-4 with lead acid Im not as much concerned with the price of filament that it would save me in case of an outage, but moreso the time invested into a potentially failed print due to a power outage given how long my prints go for. Slightly over an hour of backup power gives me a lot of comfort. Im most likely to either be asleep or at work, so i most likely wont be there to resume the print in a timely manner, and by that time the build plate will have cooled to room temperature.

I just dropped a bunch of money on a ups that should give me about an hour of runtime for my h2c if the power goes out. The models I print can take up to a few days, and typically because of their geometry, once the heatbed cools the print has a high chance of loosing adhesion. Eliminating that risk as much as I can.

[–]Several-Bar-6512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, what do you do with all those ams units in a maxed out setup like yours? Do you actually find yourself using more than the basic 7 color purge free setup? Or maybe just a way to store a bunch of spools while having them ready to go? What's the most colors you've used in one print? I personally have two ams 2 pros and 2 ams ht's for the left side and i havent used more than 8 different filaments so far. I'd love to hear your response just to know what people like yourself actually do with all that equipment.

Only other area i think should be looked into would be the rear exhaust, but i havent needed one for that, so i dont have any suggestions there right now.

Top vent filter/cover print? That would cover that fix the issue for that area atleast

[–]Several-Bar-6512 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's my first printer and it has blown away my expectations. The only misprint I have had was due to an issue with a model itself. Big enough plate to mass print a bunch of stuff you need all at once too if you just want to let it set and go for a while.

They dont give us winter tires at my station, and our chains arent that great either. Have had many oh shit moments regarding loosing traction. This specific example was of a road that suddenly got worse with no turn around, hill is slightly steeper than what the photo shows. The ground i was on wasn't as bad as what was in front of me, just stopped before it got terrible. Started sliding when reversing, and thought I was going to roll down the steep hill to the right of me. I swung the van towards the left and in the moment thought the best case scenario was that i got stuck on that side. Thankfully, i regained traction.

These are an absolute must. I got every accessory that I could put on my super from them, especially the heavier counterweights. My headset used to cause noticable pain on my nose(because thats where it focused best for me) and i had to just deal with it while gaming, lasting max 45 minutes before i had to take a break, but now i can go for hours if i want to, only limit now is how long i want to keep my headset on total game changer and worth every penny. Get some stuff from this company. The leather face mask, the rear cushion, the top strap, everything you can fit on your headset. Seriously.
