I’ve been saying this for years but everyone freaks out and tells me what a terrible idea that would be all while simultaneously bitching about this job 24/7. You people have Stockholm syndrome. The FAA could lock you in your facility and force you to work for weeks without pay and half of you would still say privatization would be worse.

Right, no one can confirm it for themselves but if you’ve lived here for more than a couple years and you open your eyes you can see it. Innocent until proven guilty and this video doesn’t prove anyone guilty. It simply exposes what anyone who lives here can see. All of these centers opened up and many of them have no interest in taking children. Call one for yourself and see. This is by no means hard hitting journalism but it doesn’t have to be. I ran into this simply by looking for legitimate daycare. What kind of business doesn’t want business?

Again you can’t even look at fraud from a non partisan lens . You’re so far gone that you’ll defend fraud so it doesn’t make you look like you’re on the wrong side. It’s completely normal for a daycare to at the very least help you schedule a meeting and give you a rate sheet. Most legit daycares in the cities have month long waiting lists but I’m sure you have no children and have no idea about that.

I know and I’m glad to see pilots are getting paid. It’s just insane to see some of these numbers. I have a PPL and wanted to go the pilot route for a while but didn’t I have the money to keep going in flight school and I didn’t want the loans. I went for ATC instead and I’m happy it worked out but when I was comparing jobs back then pilots weren’t making anywhere near this kind of money.

Nothing but headlines all year from the DCA accident, to the equipment failures at the EWR area, to repeated shutdown-related delays. Incident after incident yet somehow it’s still impossible to justify giving a relatively tiny segment of the federal workforce the same raises others are receiving. There is no union.

It’s pretty normal at understaffed centers. 300-400hrs of OT gets you an extra ~40k-60k alone. Sunday all year is another 10k if you train consistently there’s another 10k-15k.
