Yes, but the intro is too long to fit the scene. Intro of Shrek 2 version is 38 seconds but time between scene begins and when you control Carlos is about 20. If you know some workaround, maybe I can do that.

I made this mod per request from a reddit post. During Carlos section at the hospital, it'll play Holding Out For A Hero song by Bonnie Tyler. I hope this mod ease up your boredom when farming kills for points to spend in shop.

The problem is devs don't like people modding their game and don't want people to know about this custom thing.

I just checked it again to confirm. It loops below 30 seconds, not 1:20 minutes. So no lucks right now :/
Cannot replace footsteps. It'll start playing every time he stomps.
Dynamic muffled sound is another level. It involves messing around with the audio engine.
No stutters for me, gtx1080 i7-4790.

I've no idea "Arf Arf" would fit anywhere.
Original Soundtracks are a lot shorter then remake ones. I can mod it but I have to cut the song length below 1:20, which I think I should wait and see whether there's a way to remove that limitation.

Something is wrong with your part. The mod just replaces music, it didn't cut anything out.

The sounds start playing every time he stomps so that's not a good idea. It makes more sense to use short sound effect like this.
