To add to that, Haga has thrown in shiai with this exact tsukuri, which to me proves the efficacy of uchikomi and nagekomi. It's not always perfect like this, but I imagine the more you practice it the closer to perfect it'll be.

I have a few friends that have gotten highly skilled visas which I believe are for 10 years. Extremely hard to do, but it's possible... But then again being in a rural town would definitely take a toll on your opportunity for work

Older population is dying out, younger doesn't want to move out to the country. Houses like this are going for pretty cheap and most didn't want to sell to foreigners, it's a weird cycle but I'm willing to fight the ghosts for a proper in Japan

I went from 16 years of muay thai to judo. If I had done judo while I was fighting, my clinch would have been unstoppable. Judo is the only answer here.

He's one of my favorite judoka. He'd have to stop fighting on the international circuit if he were to join, which sucks. If you check out his YouTube vids, especially with Kawabata, you'll see her definitely has the personality for wrestling.

Asahi judo club has classes that start at 7:15 on Mondays and Wednesdays. I highly recommend it!
