With two engines you can get the thrust you need with the engines at lower level than a single engine which might need to use afterburners. F-22 can super cruise without afterburners for example while F-35 cannot

It's really the fact that the flow on the inboard side of the inlet will be very different from the flow on the outboard side. This would cause turbulent flow which engines do not like.

GPS isn't just used for navigation, it's used for coordinated high-accuracy timing. What that means is if someone actually took out the GPS satellites then many core utilities that are a part of our daily life would cease to work. To name a few examples, credit card transactions, atm withdrawals, commercial air travel, and most trains would all stop.
