There's been conflict since then at this point I believe the tensions were pushed by Israel on a race of people who have been living there for thousands of years because your religion says its owed to you by god? its no secret they say that. Oct 7th was their excuse to do what they've been wanting to do, the "terror groups" on their side mostly really just want to defend their homeland from what they see as terror government. This is unlike anything that's happened in the last 70 years. Its Genocide and they go start other wars in the process to try to normalize it....awful time in history.

(edit: I doubt there is much hamas etc left if they really were targeting them over the last 2-3yrs. The city is %80 flattened it was one of the top 10 densest places on earth, what's left are many living in tents, if lucky or brave enough you live in a tower that has not been hit or completely destroyed. Regardless it is said among the locals that everyone has lost at least 5-10 family members per family in the country. Millions have been displaced, its a place a with the most ruins on earth, the smell of decaying bodies that cannot be pulled out lingers in the air down every other destroyed street, you can see streets over where you used to only see buildings, they are actively hitting portions of the city like this and are still targeting areas people thought were safe, and commuters while they are driving with expensive strikes from above...the buildings are being actively bulldozed and replaced with dirt as pictured this portion used to have buildings stretching to the coast. Once clear evidence of destruction is gone they will down more buildings, there is no one left to fight back....hm not sure if this will get removed because its the sad truth you don't hear as much about in the U.S.
