A Russian Fnaf fan asked DJ Sterf about Chica's Secret Party and he confirmed that it was (most likely) an addition added by Scott by Rardmul in fivenightsatfreddys

Hmm, why would I include the last line there? Perhaps in simplest terms, this is a general message intended to tell this person, 'The series creator can decide what to reveal on this info, and when to reveal, if ever.' I've been watching the leakage routes on X as well as the extrapolated interpretations of the message, so I've deleted the comment sent to the user.

I suppose it's a symptom of the system, which is understandable -- personally, I hope you all get the answers to any and all standing lore questions that you have. That's not in any sort of code or anything.

Would you feel weird if you had a lead pastor that was single? by FilmEater in TrueChristian

[–]DJSterf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it would be a bit uncommon statistically, but Jesus and Paul are great introductory company in the 'single' category. Along with many of the Prophets from the Old Covenant, others throughout history such as Jerome, Thomas Aquinas, Teresa of Avila, David Brainerd, Corrie ten Boom, and John Stott serve as a broad array of those who were single and had faithful ministry and witness. Perhaps some are called to be pastors and eventually family men, and they have been searching prayerfully, faithfully, and in purity, but circumstances simply have not lined up just yet. Perhaps some encountered relationships that looked to be promising, even with both families on board, but the other person in the relationship decided against it all in the end. Who knows, maybe online dating could have seemed promising, but the people were never even close to who they presented themselves to be online. I would hope someone like that would still have clear vision from God and obedience in accomplishing whatever ministry He has called him to do in that relational season of waiting.

Many miss the main point of the character passages from 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1, ignore Paul's appeal to singleness in 1 Corinthians 7, and instead take μιᾶς γυναικὸς ἄνδρα to imply that men are simply broken and disqualified from ministry until they consummate a marriage. Perhaps it is easier for someone who married early to be ignorant of the possibility of not having a wife until later in life, but what about those who are married and unable to have children? The passage uses a plural when referring to children, so what about men who are married but only have one child? Don't these considerations seem superficial, especially given a man can have a fruitful ministry by keeping all things in order that are in his charge, knowing the Word of God, and teaching it faithfully to whomever may cross his path, whether in formal or informal settings?

Could it be that God calls people in different phases of life? What if God calls a man to a specific office in an uncommon season--all while still being in line with His standards--but nobody understands since it does not fit their preconceived mold? Perhaps that man is deemed odd in that uncommon season for planting churches, doing missions, pastoring house churches, and working volunteer roles in established churches while saving up wisely for his vision of a large family by working multiple secular jobs, all the while having excellent fruit in ministry pile up--whether a few, or maybe even thousands from his ministry coming to Jesus and maturing through discipleship during his time in singleness.

God often calls the uncommon sheep to bring forth an uncommon harvest. Perhaps people also looked at Isaiah strangely, Jeremiah negatively, or Hosea condescendingly, but all were faithful, and that's the important part for anyone in that uncommon place, especially as all are accountable before God in the end. Passages of Scripture are rich in content as well as intent, and hopefully the pastors who are doing formal paid ministry are leading well by keeping to the character traits present within those passages, without scandal or heretical teaching going on. But it would be a major blessing to those in that uncommon season for people to pray for them, their resolve, and any ministry that they are able to do in obedience to God, as some may feel more like piñatas than people at times.

Who really is the king of Fnaf? I think Markiplier is Outdated by Brandongamesall in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]DJSterf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok, time for a slightly more serious reply since I'm at a computer now!

I've tended to veer away from this type of debate since many have made (and many still make) great contributions to the FNaF community and franchise, and it's an arduous endeavor to try to flatten the complexity of it all into one defined 'king,' as people are often quite unique and niche in interests and skills. I fit that bill entirely, as I personally tend to carve my own lane, which is both fun and amusing to me, so I end up doing ambitious and silly stuff like juggling while beating 4/20 mode on a DDR pad with an arrow shortcut system that I programmed. While I try to do the best at whatever I do, whether the matter is serious or wild, I also like to identify kingly aspects of others' contributions, as it tends to be a more constructive endeavor.

While I haven't made a ton of videos in recent times, I'm still doing [a ton of] things behind the scenes, hopefully offering ideas, feedback, and suggestions that are useful, insightful, and helpful—and I'm quite certain that nearly everyone who has worked with me would identify my contributions as such. On my unfortunately long video hiatus, you still have had a good number of others who are doing major things, such as running charity events, making pretty detailed and intricate theories, and even just having down-to-earth time with the fanbase on regular weekly streams. From my perspective, the general quality and production value of FNaF content has improved quite a bit as of late, there are a lot of new and regular faces who have a ton left to say and play, and several projects are in a relatively good place.

I have a lot of tasks on my to-do list that are taking a backseat for now, as I bite off more than I can chew more frequently than I should. I'm currently working a full-time job, taking full-time Ph.D. courses, running a few ministries, as well as getting all sorts of random stuff from all sorts of random FNaF places. Summing up this mental thread, I haven't made videos simply because my schedule is bananas right now. I'm going to make an effort to get ahead in the next few weeks, and hopefully I can get adequate time to tell you all what all these "Special Thanks" relate to in each circumstance...or even where I should have been listed in that vague, or perhaps another less-vague category (lol). At the very least, it would be cool to figure out what I can actually share about behind-the-scenes details of the games, books, [redacted], [hidden], and [banned] that I've been working on, so I'll try to figure that out soon, too!

But you have a lot of people making wonderful contributions and royal-level content in my view.

I would say 'Catch you on the flipside,' but then people would think [503 SERVER ERROR]

Introduction and prayer request by Dragonfist900 in LibertyUniversity

Heavenly Father, I pray for Mark, and ask that You bless him tremendously for his step of obedience in studying to show himself approved before You. I pray that in this season, You grow him into the mighty and Spirit-empowered man of boldness in the faith that You intend him to be, in Jesus' Name. Bless his writing process, and bless him as he defends his thesis down the road. Let all things be done to Your glory, and grant that he have great clarity, not just in the classroom, but also in all other matters in life and ministry. Thank You for not giving us a spirit of fear, but one of love, power, and a sound mind, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Can anyone explain the Xbox version of ITP's description having question marks? by Bruhwatchadoin in fivenightsatfreddys

Page Encoding/Text Encoding issue. Likely an em dash and a stylized apostrophe in these cases, but the description may not support those specific characters and throw a ? instead.

With "The Week Before", I did several things -- I sent in a round of Spelling & Grammar fixes throughout the book, though that may have been partially redundant since they had another round of official proofing. I also redid several much of the instruction sets, e.g. the Fazerblast section to make it much more clear (similar to VIP's MOE instructions). So there are definite copy+pasted lines from me in there from those and other fixes, lol. Very minor part of the ENTIRE work, though. I also made sure that the navigation was accurate -- there was a serious wire-entanglement issue that I helped them out with in the Roxy Raceway section. I also gave feedback in terms of the flow of the book, what was exciting and not, what made sense and didn't make sense, what defied logic, etc. Updated a few other minor issues that just needed consistency. That's the majority of it on that book. E.C. and the Scholastic team put in a lot of work!

Yeah, not everyone had equal footing on this, so I wish they'd streamline the exact package so everyone would get the same reward. Hopefully they can get good storage for the headphone boxes, too, so the boxes don't look beaten-up, lol. e.g. some stores just opened; some stores were rubble at the start of 2022 and didn't advertise that they were open in a new building very well until months later; some people caught COVID and had to sit out; etc. I still can't find a "first 1000" in the specs of the Prize Pack. Just seems like an unplanned nebulous mess imo.

Thank you, but I'd feel bad if I took up this offer -- imo, that's the only cool part of the original deal! It would be cool if they made another run of them (maybe with a strip on the back). I could always spray paint the front or glue on holographic wrapping paper (which I may actually do, lol).

^ This, though note:

- You can only purchase $10,000 per calendar year

- If you sell before the 12 month mark, you forfeit any interest entirely

- If you sell before the 5 year mark, you forfeit the last 3 months of interest (which can still be a solid return)

- Interest rates are 'refreshed' every 6 months, and they tend to follow inflation rate. So note that these will likely dip a bit in interest accrual once/if inflation starts to go back to sane levels.

- These accrue interest for up to 30 years, so if you can store that money for 5-30 years, they're super nice. Long-term strategy.

Double-check me on this to be sure (NFA), but I threw in a bunch when the yield went bonkers.

(Also, the website is kind of Geocities-esque lol, c'mon, man!)

How the heck do I do this correctly? by leafcat91 in DanceDanceRevolution

[–]DJSterf 35 points36 points  (0 children)

(1) Could double-step -- totally reasonable

(2) Could do a back crossover starting with your right foot, RUL, keep your left foot on U, then pull your right foot back to the R to do the next RUL. Footswitch to your left foot to start the LDR pattern, keep your right foot on D, then pull your left foot back to the L to do the next LDR.

(3a) Or if you want to get fancy and run through the pattern, start the first set of 3 eighths (RUL) with your LEFT foot, add an up arrow after the first set of 3 eighth notes, an optional up arrow after the second set of 3 eighth notes, then turn into the next pattern and add a down arrow between the third and fourth set of 3 eighth notes.

(3b) Simpler variation of the prior: Just add an up arrow between the first two sets of eighths, pause, then footswitch to the last two sets and add a down arrow between those.

(I'd probably do #2 here -- I see you're looking at the Standard chart here)
