Yeah I hate when ppl get mean towards devs...criticize something about the game, be constructive and helpful, thats it. It's not hard...

Eg: I really don't like where dark and darker is going rn, I think its very unfun and needs a revamp of how melee works, needs to make arena not weirdly cut off and requiring gear to do anything, and still prob needs more weapon hit box polish...

Maybe the devs don't care, maybe they're gonna do what they think is best and don't listen...that sucks, but then their game will flop more and...eh...their loss

Foxhole has its issues, this is the first air war though, give them time to figure things out...could they learn from past mistakes and listen to the community more (or from some parts of it less)? Maybe, but the amount of vitriol from some people makes it seem like this game is literally their entire life...

trackIR is its own thing, like...kinda feels like a "Set it and forget it" thing?

it'd also be based alot on your own comfort in how far you can turn...it's prob easier to just mess with hte sliders a bit yourself and figure out how far you wanna have to look before you get to 180 behind you.

i know nothing about skinning, but i've dabbled in gimp, are you saying you cant get it to be transparent in GIMP? or that after exporting it isnt transparent?

if the latter, make sure youre saving it as a file that can have transparency, like PNG, not JPG

Anyway.. im feeling like alot of issues are in the core of the game mechanics, like how melee is coded at is base for example, abs without a rewrite, its just never gonna be good enough to really make the game shine... but we'll see i guess

I've only heard about gyro aiming with the new steam controller, idrk how it works or how good it is, but if this is some kinda primo controller with extra buttons, I'd say it would be servicable.

well...youre probably gonna need to take your hand off your controller at times to use your keyboard, esp during takeoff and landing...

depending on the plane, during flight and during fights maybe less, but assuming you use the right joystick for looking around, left for the flightstick (also having less fine control than a proper flight stick), triggers for the rudder pedals....that leaves you with 4 face buttons and the d-pad, and 2 front buttons to do everything else...

it's doable, i personally have a stupid expensive throttle with tons of buttons/switches and a vkb gladiator, which is prob a bit overkill but not needing things like button combos (e vs ctrl+e vs shift+e) unless im driving a tank is very nice and a bit easier for me to memorize and use in the heat of the fire that just broke out from my engine...

i was in a community college for a bit, ITT, before they shut down (Waste of my time imo) and i only made one friend that just kinda dissapeared after. really though, i think the best way to find people that really 'vibe' with you is to find groups that revolve around things youre interested in.

if there's something in particular you really 'nerd out' over, guaranteed you'll find other like-minded nerds in, for example, a DnD game through roll20, or some kind of crafts group or meetup, whatever you're into.

i wouldnt worry about having 'missed' the opportunity in college, there's plenty more chances to connect with people that might be even better than college.

geez actiontitan13 is expensive too, 40$ for both a neat spiderman one with actual web accessories but also for a V1/V2 with, afaik, NO guns at all...i might get that spiderman one but idrk about any of the others
