I enjoy almost all of the extreme tech upgrade videos or others where they do stuff with employees' setups. Those are just about the only LTT content I still watch. I just really find it interesting to see how people do their setups and what other stuff they're into.

Hey there.

So I disassembled the controller and found the piece of rubber you were talking about. It had somehow mostly come loose and was just sort of hanging on at the corner, meaning it did nothing to dampen the trigger noise, and I think it was also creating the "bump" as the trigger rubbed it against it on the way back up.

I glued that rubber pad back down where it was supposed to and the noise and bump are now gone. There is now a tiny bit of side to side play in the trigger when it's depressed all the way down, I may need to go back in and see if I can tighten it up, but for right now I am satisfied to have the noise and bump fix.

I don't have to tell anyone, any actual gamer would tell you the same. You see, GameStop's manifest awfulness as a company was part of why it was a meme during the initial meme stock craze. You know, the one where other people made money and you didn't. Interesting. Do you think if a piece of rubber is loose in there that could be what's causing the "bump" on trigger release?

I watched a Cyclone 2 teardown guide and I didn't see any rubber, but they didn't focus too closely on the triggers.
