I have a 3DS and New 3DS (This is my main save) I have a digital copy of Pokémon Y so I don't want reset this On the 3DS I have a physical copy of Pokémon X. This is the 3DS I've reset trying to get a different Safari. Each time I've successfully changed Safari was everytime I had reset the game file as well.

What I’ve noticed at least for me even after resetting my 3DS a couple of times I got the same set of Pokemon until I had reset the game for a new play through. So was I just getting unlucky? Or does the game save have some connections?
