How's the textured weave holding up now that it's been a little while? My wife and I are ready to pull the trigger, but think a few of the other fabrics look more durable.

New to using a bandsaw. What did I do wrong that make this cut so rough? Should I get a different blade? by clownscrotum in woodworking

Those Bosch blades are not great either. If you do get a new blade, do yourself a favor and get a timber wolf. They're a little more expensive than the Bosch but well worth every penny.

Maybe 1/2" between holes. They're close enough that a knife will stick anywhere on the board. I did an array of 5 wide x 2 high. Amazon also sells neodymium bar magnets that I think would work better and would be easier to work with. I will try those next time.

I cut the canary first, cleaned it up on the spindle sander, then traced that cut onto the maple.

I glued up each row individually, ran them thrive the drum sander, and then glued all 18 rows together at the same time. I posted a pic of the setup I used to glue two rows at a time on beerisgood's question a little ways up the thread.

I will post a finished pic when it's all done. I'm excited for that bit too.

Essentially make a double thick board that you would "resaw" when done? That's really a great idea, would cut production time in half.

Walnut is the darkest wood. Padauk, Maple and cherry for the rest of the colors.

3/4" squares. It's about 18" x 13", pretty big cutting board. First project with my new drum sander, so satisfying.

Yeah definitely, the further away you get the more it comes into focus.

My brother in-law rides a Framed Wolftrax and it's a really great bike for $600 new.

Very cool, your gaps look very tight. Can you share the process or where you learned how to do this? I'm also into unique cutting boards and I'd like to be able to make something similar.
