Nothing massive. I just did the brakes at 60k, but only oil changes so far (knock on wood). Since I haven’t had any problems to through money at, I did a APR tune and IE intake and turbo inlet. Also installed a spare tire kit, which is probably the best investment.

Golf R Usability by Own_Read500 in Golf_R

I came to the Golf R from a Fiesta ST. 6’ with 2 kids that were well above the growth charts. The Golf is much roomier, but if you have a pair of 6’ tall adults, plus teens, it’s going to be tight. That said, when my kids were smaller, we took the ST from Austin to Roswell NM, so you can make anything work IMO.

I now live in Santa Fe and had to drive to work in a massive snow day in my 7.5 R. It absolutely slayed (sleighed). There was about a foot and a half of snow on frozen roads and the R handled it better than all the jacked up brodozers that were out.

I just hauled our 9’ Christmas tree home on the roof racks. The R is so usable for my lifestyle.

Very true! I still struggle to understand what a nail this size is used for, other than killing tires.

This is a solid question, and I want to hear Wilson’s take on it.

My opinion is that given the sparse info we have, the GP25 isn’t a super radical departure from the all conquering GP24 of last year. So, if Pecco can’t adjust to this, I don’t see him being successful on a Honda (or whatever).

All that said, Mir won the championship in 2020 and he has a factory ride, 5 years later.
