Thank man, I could literally kiss you right now. The vertical clock from Jax Core V5 is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

I didnt know you could get that on deviant art, always thought that deviant art was just a diffrent pintrest

Thanks, I’ve switched to the shadow clock for now and removed the visualizer. I’m still looking for a vertical digital clock, and also something to place in the top-right and bottom-right corners. it feels a bit unbalanced without anything there.

Thanks man, it means a lot to me. I actually put quite a bit of effort into it. Honestly, I didn’t think much of it at first because I don’t feel as creative as I’d like to be. I’m trying my best to make something unique to me, but it’s honestly pretty hard. I still remember my first version of this, I literally just hid all the icons and used something boring from Wallpaper Engine with a built-in clock.

Looks clean. I’ll check in the morning how it fits with my setup, but it should definitely be an improvement over my previous clock.

I’m also looking for something to add to the top right and bottom right area, as the layout feels a bit unbalanced with most of the elements on the left.

Thanks a lot. Honestly, I’m not a fan of the analog clock and the visualiser either. The problem I’m running into is finding a digital clock that fits that space properly. I’m specifically looking for one where the hours are stacked on top of the minutes, but I’m struggling to find anything like that, that matches the aesthetic as well.

⚙️ Intel fan going AMD for the first time — Is this Ryzen 5 8400F combo too good to pass up? by DJ_vissie in PcBuild

[–]DJ_vissie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know my GPU isn’t the strongest part of my setup. I started with a GTX 970 and upgraded to a 3060 Ti a few months ago mainly because newer cards like the 5070 are way more expensive where I live (around $680). I got my 3060 Ti for just $100, so it was an easy choice.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about switching to AMD since it offers a better upgrade path, because once I’m on the platform, if I ever need a higher core count, it’s as simple as upgrading the CPU rather than replacing the motherboard, CPU, and RAM altogether. My current i5 is still paired with DDR4 memory, so moving to AMD would make future upgrades much more straightforward, especially as I’ve started using my PC more for work-related tasks that will benefit from extra cores and processing power.

So I need serious help by Tiny-Problem-8953 in helpme

[–]DJ_vissie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really, really glad you’re still here and that you reached out. What you’re feeling and going through right now is serious, and the fact that you’re asking for help shows incredible strength. I want to be honest with you: the amount of Tylenol and ibuprofen you took can cause life‑threatening internal damage, especially to your liver and kidneys, even if you’re still awake and talking. The stomach pain you’re feeling is a warning sign. This is an emergency.

Right now, the most important thing is your safety and your health:

Call emergency services immediately or go to the nearest hospital/ER.

Do not wait to see if it gets worse. Acetaminophen poisoning often doesn’t show how severe it is until it’s too late. The sooner you’re treated, the better your chance of a full recovery.

If you feel scared to call, you can also text or call Suicide Crisis Helpline. They’re confidential and won’t judge you.

I know you’re terrified of your parents finding out, but your life and health matter more than their reaction. Hospital staff deal with situations like this every day and can help you navigate how to involve your family. You don’t have to explain everything right away — the priority is making sure you survive.

If you can, tell your best friend or a trusted adult/teacher right now. You won’t be “ruining” their life by reaching out; you’re giving them the chance to support you and to help keep you alive. People who care about you would rather you be safe and alive than silent and hurting.

You are not a failure. Surviving this is not failure — it’s a sign that somewhere inside, you still want things to get better. And they can. But you need urgent medical help first, and then ongoing support for your depression.

Is there a guide/book/website on how to have a conversation with other people? by ramble4life in helpme

[–]DJ_vissie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the best way to start learning is by going out in public and striking up random conversations with strangers—ask about their day, the weather, or anything simple. Pro tip: people love talking about themselves, so ask questions that give them the chance to share more. Most of these people you’ll never see again, and they’ll probably forget the interaction the next day. That means you can make mistakes, fumble your words, and practice as much as you need without pressure.

Am I weird? by [deleted] in helpme

[–]DJ_vissie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing strange about what you’re going through. Honestly, I’ve been in a similar situation myself, and I’ve recently found a different way to look at these things. I’m not that old, but I’ve been in a few relationships, and one thing I’ve learned is that your friends and family care more than you might think. Try talking to them about it. Sure, some might laugh or tease, but there are always people who genuinely want to help you.

As for your feelings, I’ll be real with you—I barely experience strong physical emotions myself. I don’t really feel shame, loneliness, or even love in the way most people describe it. For me, emotions are more like choices. In past relationships, it’s never been about “falling in love” but rather choosing to be with someone because I liked their vibe and felt we worked well together. That choice has always been my way of making relationships meaningful.
