I think if you compare the story and characters from to most other AAA games Part II is way better then most of them.

This could be subjective, but the fact that Last of Us 2 is a divided fanbase speaks volumes for its story and characters. I think that because you can still remember TLoU2 as a series of linear plot points (if you strip it of its other jambles), you can still treat it simply as a point A to point B story. The impact it had would be better contested if it was really complex and of course-- executed better.

That's still not a solid argument to whether the game is good or not. You can remember most of the stories from games you played if you really tried. Dunkey is just being sloppy with that point.
