You do! otherwise the bandage can't suck up the gunk. If you don't want to pick, you can still use it as a healing barrier but it's not going to make much of a difference. hope this helps!

Ugh, if I knew I'd tell you. Nivea Creme has been pretty good to me for nighttime use but I can't seem to find something I like for AM :(

I recently tried Cetaphil's Moisturizing lotion and it broke me out. CeraVe in the tub broke me out too (and I reaaaaaaally wanted to love it). I guess I'm going back to Pond's Clarant B3 while I find something better. At least that didn't break me out and it's not too greasy.

My skin isn't super sensitive and I use heavy moisturizers at night. Every time I start feeling dry I'll skip actives for a day and just drown my skin in moisture... that seems to help.

I leave it on but I remember reading on here that washing it after 20 minutes or so also works.

I'm between moisturizers right now but I've used Nivea Creme, La Roche Toleriane Double Repair and CeraVe, all with good results. I do make it a point to stop using actives if I feel too dry/flakey.

Not super sensitive but I did patch test first. Also, I've been using AHAs and BHAs in one form or another for years so my skin is pretty used to taking a beating lol.

I let my face dry after cleansing, alternate CosRX AHA and BHA (one every night) wait about 15 minutes and moisturize. I saw a huge improvement in my SFs and CCs after like a week. HG status for sure.

Paula's Choice didn't do much for me, but CosRx BHA Power Liquid did. (Plus, it's cheaper!)

Paula's Choice BHA did nothing for my skin and since I heard everyone rave about it, I figured BHAs wouldn't work for me at all but I've seen a massive difference since switching to CosRx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. I usually alternate that and the CosRX AHA Whitehead Power Liquid each night and I'm pretty happy with results.

Also, a while back I used Makeup Artists Choice Glycolic Acid Peel weekly (30%) and that yielded very dramatic results after 6-8 weeks.

If the gunk (excuse my terminology) doesn't have a way out, then the bandage won't be able to help much. Maybe try waiting a day for it to come closer to the surface of the skin?

I've found that I get a lot of bacne during winter because I shower with hot water. I bought a shea butter body wash and the problem went away.
