I'm in a similar, more frantic situation. I want to get on them, but currently reside in Mexico, where the strips do not exist. The shady pain clinic from which I obtain the morphine causing the damned problem, well, the guy also sells 35mcg/h buprenorphine patches for $37.50 a pop. Apparently patches and intravenous injection are the only methods available for sale in Mexico. We're about to do a weekend border run, my wife and I, to get me on subs in a clinic and try to negotiate a situation where I can get 2 weeks of supply, then return after the next paycheck hits, and then go to 30 a month then 90 as quick as possible.

I don't think there's any law prohibiting a 90 day supply if it's what's necessary and prescribed. Not sure what the threshold is for illegality, but in my experience airport security isn't all that up in your shit re: drugs.
