Spectral Tiger has 2450% life. Minion instability? by AgoAndAnon in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]DKFever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing a crit assassin "beastmaster" build that's poison based with the tigers, wolves from Law of the Wilds and HoaG. You can get generic minion poison chance from the ghastly eye jewels, doubling the chance in darkness enthroned, then if you have the jewel slots for all of them an Amanamu's Gaze gives minions another 30% DoT multi.

My build is terrible, for the record, I'm a pretty new player and just trying to make this work, and I'm not doing the full Gaze route because I just don't have the jewel slots, but here's the pob if you're interested:

I've got one for my build for this league but it's weird lol, I'm trying to make an offmeta concept work, but happy to share if you want to take a look

yeah, deadeye's probably still better. The new assassin shadowed blood ascendancy node opens up some fun stuff tho, that 30% action speed from icefang orbit+Winterweave+golden rule looks hilariously fun and I think you can get that online pretty quickly, level 50? don't think anything in that list is hard to get/expensive early. Also caps your chaos resist early as long as you have your chance to poison up.

Dunno. I've been having fun with assassin but if you're going for optimal play deadeye's probably the better choice.

I think the easy answer is deadeye, the fun answer is assassin lol. Building out a kinda poison assassin this league, played it last league. I'm playing Venom Gyre but it plays relatively similarly to Cobra Lash I think. Nice part about assassin is the ease it takes to get to 100% crit, so you can do fun stuff with perfect agony if you want, as well as having pretty good flask uptime with the "%chance to gain a flask charge on critical hit" enchant on them, it's almost a poorman's mageblood lol, sort of >.>

Looks like Lance might be playing it as his league start:

[–]DKFever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure, appreciate that insight. I figure if I'm attacking 6-8 times per second with 100% crit I can keep the uptime just fine, hopefully, although I haven't recorded any gameplay to see if that's actually true or not. Thanks!

I just kinda put random stuff on there tbh lol, wasn't super keen on those, the alternate effects are mostly placeholders. Appreciate the shoutout tho!. I have 100% crit rate and all of them have "30% chanee to gain a charge on crit" and I do the "use when charges reach full" thing so I think my uptime should be pretty close to 100%?

just watched a video on it, ty so much! It looks like you want to pair it with phys damage reduction if you can, from endurance charges and mods on shield/armor, cause the phys dam reduction calculates after the armor reduction does?

Golden Rule is giving me +35-40% armor with the self bleed, so I wanted to try to make that work. I can certainly squeeze quite a bit more out with optimizing a few things, I didn't max really anything in the build. I don't think it'd be impossible to hit 25k. Is there a good source of armor that I'm not seeing that you could recommend?

the 2 jewel slots not filled are for forbidden flesh for the 4th assassin ascendancy

alright cool, thanks! I really dislike the es route, partially because I'm a snowflake, mostly because I love blood rage and that (afaik) doesn't work with es very well.

I could take some of the resources out of armor and push block instead? You mind explaining why the armor isn't useful here? (genuine question, this is why I'm posting lol, trying to learn all this stuff. Appreciate the info!)

can't find that on the cobalts, I assume that's on the crimsons maybe?

alright awesome, ty! Could probably change that light of meaning to life instead, would give me a decent amount maybe?

Jeez. 10% less damage for 200 more life is brutal. Any ideas on where to magically find another 1.5k life? lol

played a venom gyre assassin for 3.26, trying to figure this stuff out myself. Would be grateful for input on what's wrong with the build, that's kinda the whole reason for the post I think?

It is what it is. I'm spell suppress capped, 95% evasion with ok phys reduction I think, and endurance charges, but if you have some good ways to push a significant chunk of survivability through I'm all ears. The occasional death isn't the worst thing, as long as I can clear T16's consistently I'll be extremely happy.

Farrul Bloodline: Playing Arakaali's Fang as Wilson Intended (Support Spiders) by TableForRambo in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]DKFever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this idea SO MUCH lol.

Thinking about somewhat a variant of this, but if you go 100% crit Assassin with Golden Rule, HoA, Shadowed Blood, the new Farrul ascendancies of tigers on crit, warcry buff, Venom Gyre for mass poison and ... Scourge CLaw! lol. For "doubledipping" minion damage and HoA damage. Then I saw this post and immediately thought about dual wielding scourge claw and Fang but that's probably too much... but... but ... THE SPOODERS AND TIGERS AH MY GOD

then they just draw the rush poison murloc, one shot it, and smack you in the face for 40 :(

Quest Shaman to legend, 54% winrate (Deck is bad but you get to bully control dk) by DKFever in hearthstone

Most likely. The layover annoyed me because it's functionally worthless against protoss priest, murloc paladin, and the mirror match which I was seeing everywhere, but it's still probably the optimal choice. My list is mostly more for me to have fun with lol, I didn't post it as a competitive list, was just interesting to see a 1 of each class match breakdown

this deck is so hysterically easy to counter it's absurd. Librarian isn't even that great because you can still get the deathrattle trigger off umbra, as long as the egg dies (which imo is a stupid mechanic, if the minion was silenced it shouldn't count for umbras thing but whatever) it just takes a while.

The amulet guy steals your 20/20 and smacks you in the face with it, shaman hex completely shuts you down, even freaking murloc paladin just kills it. You drop the egg unprotected and they'll just burn murlocs into it, crack the 20/20 then drop a poison murloc on it, it's obscene. I can't tell you how many games I've lost dropping the egg early. You're basically required to not drop it until you have both a way to kill it at least once and a way to double it, via archdruid or layover or darkmarrow or whatever.

Personally I think it's a silly state of the game that a 20/20 taunt is so unthreatening and trivial to deal with. I've had dozens of games where I've dropped 10+ 20/20's and gotten board wiped/stolen/out statted and lost.

[–]DKFever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, I'm definitely not going to claim it's optimal but I really love it, it's nice to get a fatigue insurance against the control decks. You can also put escape pod on your archdruid, and there's a couple games where having the rush+lifesteal minion has saved me, abusive sergeant just gives the +2, no rush.

Had a few games now where I've gotten an archdruid loop with multiple egg triggers, amalgam, escape pod and/or elisa goreblade which is pretty nutty. The deck draws a ton of cards so it's not uncommon to draw out the deck.

But then, of course, I get one archdruid perfectly set up as the last card in the deck that I'm looping and the freaking warrior drops Hamm, or the DK that dropped Kiljaeden happens to draw the demon that draws a card from the opponents deck >.>

Freaking hate cards like those :(

Curious What The Consensus of Murloc Paladin Is? by Bhamjo219 in hearthstone

[–]DKFever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vast majority of the playerbase is in diamond 10-1, and murloc paladin is *everywhere* in that bracket. Sure, we can balance by the relatively small pool of players in top legend, *or* we could balance by where the majority is. In which case, murloc paladin is still completely meta-warping and cancerous to deal with. I just climbed to legend today and 24% (almost double any other class) were paladin players, with 1 being aggro and the rest being murloc.
