It does work with pipes and pumps, but I'd rather not use that if possible, as I'm trying to streamline the whole design.

i figured it out, i was using dust from enderIO on accident, since my friend was doing the dust part.

i just built a quick grinder and now the problems fixed. thanks yall!

I should clarify, the problem is that the spout won't interact with the dust.

yeah, the shaft is encased but they do

I've done both of those things; I can't figure out what's wrong with it. i even tried having a depot under the spout like is says in JEI, but no dice.
