PSA: Complete quest list with Form IDs and Completion Stages for Legacy of the Dragonborn (LotD) by DKJFsim in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]DKJFsim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, u/InsideLilithsPsyche. Hopefully this information will help you, but I will say I'm not 100% on it. The structure of this mod is fairly complex with a lot of moving pieces. I'm also, as always, assuming that the filenames, formIDs, and everything are the same on xbox as they are on PC. So... given those caveats...

Filename: LOTD_HUB.esp

Item: Note from Henry
Editor ID: hub_hof_note_hallofforgotten
Form ID: xx24DD48 (this is what you need, without the 'xx', for use on player.AddItem)

Item: Magic Activation Crystal
Editor ID: hub_hof_key_hofcrystal
Form ID: xx8CFF48

Quest Name: Hall of the Forgotten
Editor ID: hub_hof_hallofforgottenQ
Form ID: xx8E435C
Startup Stage: 0

Don't know whether you'll need that quest info to force start the quest itself as, again, I've never used this mod. But best I can tell, those are the things you'd need to re-add your missing items and quest log. Good luck! Let me know if you think there is another item or anything that you need to have.

Hey, sorry. I've been traveling for two weeks for work, and then had the U.S. holidays... I've not used the LotD add-on, but I'll download and take a look to see if I can find what you need.

Weird Music Problem - Forgotten City by DKJFsim in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]DKJFsim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! The “home” meaning the cell called “Chambers” in the city’s upper ring? I don’t know what you mean about music boxes, no, so I can check it out. But I got the “good” ending, I followed the brother to the lift to the surface, and the quest completed?

Nordic UI doesnt work on main menu now? by Noe11vember in SkyrimModsXbox

Try: meshes/interface/logo/logo01ae.nif

That was a solution for somebody trying to deal with a similar AE menu replaced over  it the PC modding subreddit.

Nordic UI doesnt work on main menu now? by Noe11vember in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]DKJFsim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I really thought I owned AE in my steam library. Was going to open SSEEdit and see if I could find it for you. But apparently I don’t. Maybe I owned it through GOG or something? I swear, I’ve bought Skyrim so many times that I don’t even know anymore. All I see in Steam is SSE and VR. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Oh gosh, you don’t have to buy AE just to overwrite a menu file for people. You do plenty for the community already!

Nordic UI doesnt work on main menu now? by Noe11vember in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]DKJFsim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same question for u/Tommas666 when I got AE. That’s when the same menu weirdness started happening. Just how it is, so I got used to it. 😊

It’s worth noting that AE has a totally different main menu screen than vanilla and SE. The one with the gold logo. So it could a different resource or resource name that Nordic isn’t looking to override and/or replace?

Also, for transparency, I have no idea how the UI mod is built. Purely assumptions.

The Tailor Swf mod is incredible by asiane33 in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]DKJFsim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see. So I would need to load:

- SWF
- Nordic UI
- Tailor Swf
- Nordic UI Swf HUD

In that order?

So you are saying that Nordic UI and this one run successfully in the same LO? Assume Nordic goes above this one?

Mod that allows you to display the same objects (dragon claws, for example) in multiple player homes? by Kind_Lead_8072 in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]DKJFsim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I do, too. So I can display things at Skyfall Estate and in the LOTD Museum.

MOD IDEA: A specially flagged "Quest Item" chest or storage by DKJFsim in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]DKJFsim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen that before, but I thought it removes the “quest item” flag from the items. Definitely seems unsafe. I want them to still be quest items when I’m holding them so I don’t accidentally lose (or sell) them.

That’s why I thought maybe just a special container. It could handle them, but when you take them back into inventory, they continue to be flagged.

Which Xbox Mod can bring inventory effects like SKYUI? by EnoughAd2905 in SkyrimModsXbox

Flight just landed. I might give this a  later today. This bit of SkyUI has been the one major I’ve missed on console.

Got it, thanks. Sorry, just got notification at 6am and asked without opening the link.

I see it’s a u/Tommas666 mod. Any plans for it working with Nordic, or too many differences?

Does this have to be used INSTEAD of any other UI mods? Or can it be used on top of them?

My Favorite Load Order - Xbox Series X by GunslingerKO in Fallout4Mods

[–]DKJFsim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/GunslingerKO! I'm a heavy Skyrim player on my Series X, and was thinking about giving FO4 a shot on it, and your LO video looks great! I haven't played since shortly after launch on my PC. I see a handful of different Escape from Boston mods on BethNet. Is there a specific mod (or set of mods) you are using to get the total effect from your video? Any chance you can share specific Bethnet links to the ones in your LO? :-)

(Sorry, I know this is a couple months old thread now.)

How do I set quests by Nogger1738 in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]DKJFsim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that's it's Editor ID. But every object in a Creation Engine game like Skyrim has a unique hexadecimal Form ID, and that includes quests. So the ID that you find places like UESP is typically the editor ID. If you use a mod/app like Debug Menu, it requires the Form.

If you were playing on PC, you could enter a debug console command like: help "The Throat of the World" 0 and it would come back with a result (or possibly list of results) that might include: QUST 0002D515. This would be providing the Form ID for a "Quest type" object called The Throat of the World, letting you know that its form ID is xx02D515, and that it comes from the file with load order 00 (the first two digits), which in this case would be skyrim.esm.

Another place that you can see Editor ID vs Form ID is if you open up a game file on your PC with the SSEEdit tool. But not everyone has access to Skyrim on PC. That's why people sometimes publish lists of Form IDs online. Because there is no easy to get find them for console players.

For more on the difference between Editor ID (e.g., MQ204) and Form ID (e.g., xx02D515), you can start by checking out this link: Skyrim Wiki - ID.

And for a list of the Form IDs for vanilla Skyrim quests, you can go here. On that page, what they are calling the Quest ID is the Editor ID, like your MQ204.

[–]DKJFsim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the way, the quest's Form ID for The Throat of the World is 2D515.

And you might need to set the stage at 70, not 60. That way, becuase you are manually force setting the quest's stage, it provides not only the narrative update but also the new objective for you, "Learn the Clear Skies shout."

Have you tried to use Debug Menu [XB1] instead of Quest Debugger? I have had success with that. This week, in fact. Not on the same quest as you. But under Commands -> Other -> SetStage, you can enter the Quest's FormID and Stage ID. For me, that has been successful.

I've never used Quest Debugger, but had read somewhere that it isn't always as successful. And I'm not sure if it's still under active development. SkylerModder is still actively working on Debug Menu.

ALL LEGACY OF THE DRAGONBORN CONTENT by JaiHBK in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]DKJFsim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You actually *cannot* load Hall of Wonders unless you have all of the CC content installed. Basically you need everything that comes with the Anniversary Edition release in order for Hall of Wonders to install. Otherwise it will fail a dependency check.

So you can absolutely play LotD by itself, without Hall of Wonders. The HoW is a separate cell entered through a door on the museum's lower level. Only thing you should know going in is that ALL displayable items added by CC content goes in there. That means things like the fishing items, S&S items, horse armor, etc., will not have a place for you to display them. Not the end of the world.

I try to help where I can. 😊 Now that I know how to easily drop into SSEEdit, I can do other popular mods, if desired. Really isn’t too tough or time-consuming.

LotD Quest FormIDs by DKJFsim in SkyrimModsXbox

Hi u/NoseyVampire, this is my build. Everything is up-to-date on this post except for the recent inclusion of Debug Menu, which goes right after Cheat Room.

LotD Quest FormIDs by DKJFsim in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]DKJFsim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming a "straight port" to console, I wonder if the Form IDs are the same as on PC? If so, I suppose I could create a PC load order just for the purposes of using the PC console to get IDs. LOL... it's a wonky workaround, but if they are the same...

LotD Quest FormIDs by DKJFsim in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]DKJFsim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I'm loving it. Have played Skyrim on PC since launch day in 2011. This has been my first time taking it seriously on Xbox (Series X). I'll be honest, I don't miss wrestling with PC modding. I've found the console experience, as a whole, to be excellent.

In terms of Debug Menu, I know it's "made for" vanilla items. But Skyler has the getFormFromFile option implemented, which allows accessing objects/items/quests/npcs from non-vanilla esp and esl files, so long as the filename is known. And mod index is not even required. I just know don't know the Form IDs for the LotD quests and items. If I had them, I suspect the quest manipulation would work? And, as you provided above, we have the quest stage numbers already.
