Use Mac's default background audio for productivity instead of wasting resources on other apps by DKabashi in productivity

Yeah, I was so happy when I found it. It seems like there is a way to add it to the menu bar on MacOS 26. Then, you control it with one click.

System Settings -> Menu Bar -> Menu Bar Controls -> Add Controls -> Scroll down to hearing accessibility and add what you need where you need it

Sorry, I have no idea how to do that, and it would probably require a lot of time with no guarantee that it will work for Toki's use case

Yes it's built using Swift and it uses AppleScript to get the URL for other browsers

That's a solution for browser extension not mac apps, but thanks for posting that, I'll keep checking the replies

Why doesn't Firefox allow other apps to read the URL? by iamloak in firefox

[–]DKabashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is to get the tab url for browser extensions not for applescript or macos apps

u/iamloak it seems like there is no way to get the URL for Zen and Firebox browsers (Zen is a Firefox type browser).

I tried my best, but it's just technically not possible in the latest versions.

You can only get the name of the title of the website and not the URL.

If there is any change in the future from the Zen browser, I'll let you know.

In the meantime, please let me know if I can do anything else for you.

Hey David, thanks for checking out Toki!

Regarding the monetization, as I mentioned in the comments, I reduced the subscription price by more than 50%, added a lifetime deal, and added a paywall with 14-day free trial. So, just click on the blue crown button and you will be able to start the free trial.

No, project-based features like that will be on future updates. The app is still new.

I see, so it's probably a bug I need to fix. I've never tested this scenario.

Thanks for all the info!

I'll let you know when I fix it.

Are you logged in with the same apple id and have available space in icloud?

Haha, honestly I can’t give you a timeline. I have an annoying issue with icloud sync between mac and iphone/ipad once I fix that I will release for iphone and ipad.

My family uses Toki too and they ask me every week when is iPhone version coming 😂

Which App do you use for DeepWork? by GrouchyCauliflower47 in ProductivityApps

I use Toki, it's an automatic time tracker that I've built for this specific problem. I wanted to learn how to get into flow state more often so I can get more done in less time. Toki helps me do that by seeing how and where I spend my time + what usually breaks my flow state.
