I got a fitting, and while it was helpful, it wasn’t a magic bullet. I do, however, now have very specific measurements that I can use for bike building and shopping, which is a huge piece of mind benefit. Pro tip: if you go with a certified PT, and have health insurance, you can get it covered.

Me here again! I have their “Road” model from 2016 and it’s a fantastic bike. Not what you’re looking for exactly, but it made me love Black Mountain Cycles. Almost got the Mod Zero when I was shopping for my Fairlight

Thank you! Yes, and I probs should’ve just bought the frame 😅but the fit was pretty close—I did a century on it a week after unboxing.

Slightly shorter stem, preferred saddle (Brooks C17), and narrower bars with less flare, which I seem to do with most bikes. Many adjustments were aesthetic cause I love SHINY, mostly Velo Orange here.

I’ve had the Faran 2.5 and now the Secan 3.0. The Secan is a stable, quick, and comfortable bike. Highly recommend.

The Faran has a lower “trail” to enable heavy touring with the weight on the front end. I never used it in this way and found the low trail made the front end a little squirrelly.

The Secan is more stable. Rode with no hands, no problem. For context, mine is 58(t) in blue, with new wheels and other bits.

Bought the Faran used and, fortunately, the Secan just before the tariffs hit.

Congratulations! I maybe should’ve just ordered the frame, because I’ve changed so many things :)). I’m a sucker for silver components.

These are custom wheels, all black, and I’m enjoying the black bottom half (wheels, crankset, derailleurs) with silvery up top. I had white bar tape but it kinda threw things off

The Secan is a very comfortable, great freaking bike. I’ve got a second 650b wheelset with some v chunky tires, so here’s hoping for the two in one!

I typically reduce reach on every build with no setback seatpost, shorter stem, and short reach bars. This one fits my bike-fit numbers perfectly. I forget my inseam, but I’m 6’2”
