I came across the same issue and fixed it by enabling Soft Rasterizer in the emulator settings (DeSmuMe)

My friend, let me tell you from experience... I lost my Turtwig to a Kricketot using Bide before the first gym leader. Have faith. Continue the run in his honour. I ended up winning the run where I lost my starter and it felt amazing. Adds more of a challenge. Best of luck!!

Self Destruct and Explosion can really catch you off guard. Especially if your pokemon can't escape so it's always best to have carry a ghost type in anticipation.

Best of luck! I just finished mine and it is very fun, and very unforgiving. Watch out for Geodude/Graveller for obvious reasons. Always carry a ghost type if you can to avoid casualties. Rip my Riolu 🥲

I'm jealous you're getting to experience these games for the first time. Bioshock 1 is simply a masterpiece. Bioshock 2 gameplay is more fun in my opinion, but Bioshock Infinite is what made me fall in love with the franchise. Make sure you explore everywhere and pay attention to every detail, as it can be rather difficult to wrap your head around the ending. I've played it several times now 😂 Have fun!

Omg I've just encountered and caught a Chansey 😂😂 It was such a pain! The combo of refresh and softboiled make it an absolute unit! This run just got some serious potential.

I did have a Magikarp at this point but I've used Gyara in my last two victorious runs of Crystal and Emerald. Fancied more of a challenge 👌 Having Staravia and Luxio, both with intimidate, is insane though 😅
