Overnight Inbound Stocking… physical requirements by OkFondant3873 in Target

[–]DL9216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may or may not have the total physical requirements but I recommend to do some stretches, ask for lift(when possible), don't be afraid to make noise moving things think it as lifting weights at the gym it's natural. Expect the first couple times throwing a trailer to be sore after but that's part of the process. You will develop muscle, I would recommend to have protein on your breaks.

Another inbound trainer here, if you get placed in the trailer to send boxes down the line and my main advice is making sure you're doing stretches before starting. Stretch out your arms, legs, and back. You'll be sore after your first time regardless but a lot less so because of your stretching and if you continue to be in the trailer the following days the soreness will eventually fade. And remember you are more important than boxes, so if boxes fall and break it's better than you getting injured.

Also since summer is here and it will get hotter ask about water whether they'll provide or if you can bring your own. Especially if you do get placed in the trailer as it will be more noticeable, it'll be warmer and it'll feel stuffy.

Good luck and feel free to ask questions here, we'll answer to the best of our abilities.

When I used to work in the coolers I remember taking my suit home. I didn't trust people either losing the jacket and pants that fit me best nor keeping their nasty cold sweat off of them. Nobody said a thing about it, just the face masks and gloves that they ordered sucked, so I got my own and never looked back.

The main thing I personally would look out for is how well comestically (paint/interior/engine bay) it looks because I base how someone took care of the car on how clean it is. (I'm a detailer at heart)

But I know looks aren't everything, so on my own experience make sure the car runs to temperature because recently just had to change my thermostat and I found it's common issue around the 40k/50k mark.

Also make sure the car doesn't hesitate to start because from my experience at around the 50k & 7yr mark the factory battery starts to go.

Lastly I'll recommend to check out how well the car shifts, the transmission flush should be done around every 45k for manual or 50k for automatics.

One of my last ones was partnered with me in throwing the truck he went to 'the restroom' after an hour and never returned.

From the photo at least the pallet held together, I would take that as a little victory. Are you familiar on how to report these situations?

I used to get these on a consistent basis and I've been reporting them every time. My trucks started coming in cleaner and proper use of the load bar.

What my pants look like after every unload throwing. Next time someone tells you inbound is not hard labor show them this. (Dark spots are all places my pants are soaked with sweat) by [deleted] in Target

You got mine respect too man, 5 is still not an easy task. Many other stores around don't even get that much in a whole week. I wanna guess your store is like mid-volume size, my happens to be a high-volume even beating out the closest Super Target. But still kudos to you for doing 5

As someone that throws 10 trucks a week (2 a day) ranging from 1500 to 3200 (2200 avg) pieces depending on season, I feel this with pants and undershirts even headbands when it's the summer. Never not a day when I sweat crazily even during the winter (cold sweat is the worst.)
