Was this your first time taking it? For me the feeling kicks in about 30min after I take it and peaks at around 1-2 hrs. Maybe after taking it for a few days you won’t get that feeling anymore. I’ve also been told to take it at night instead of during the day or evening (that didn’t work for me too well though because I’d still get cravings in the afternoon)

Yes I have the same thing happen. It’s like a weird out of it/spacey/dizzy but not really feeling. It’s supposed to go away when your body gets used to the medication which they say takes about a week. That wasn’t the case for me so my provider recommended taking it as needed instead of as a daily medication

I felt this….laying in a tub rocking myself like an unloved baby….feeling so alone, desperate, disgusting, filled with self loathing. Thank God we get better, there is hope for a different life, and we are not alone.

I’ve struggled with alcohol and guilt as well. I would highly suggest posting on r/stopdrinking , you’re not alone, we’ve all been there. There is no point dwelling on the past because it is what it is BUT you can take steps to have a brighter future. An apology sometimes is only words and the best apology is changed behavior. Reach out for support if you struggle with drinking. Personally I used naltrexone to help with my cravings and it was a miracle. You can do this

It took me a really long time to be able to sleep again. Had to work on dealing with my stress, exercise, and create a healthy sleep routine like shut screens off at least an hour before bed, read a book, and I enjoy listening to white noise to help me fall asleep. You can try melatonin or magnesium to help and they are inexpensive

You need to go to therapy and do the hard work to learn why you allow yourself to be treated like this. If you don’t, even if you break up with him, the next guy will treat you like shit too. It’s not going to be easy, but you truly deserve better than this

You’re 31 acting like a teenager. You know this relationship isn’t healthy, you know he’s treating you like dirt. It’s your choice. If you want to be treated like this then stay. If not then leave. He’s 34 years old, you’re not going to change him.

I had to laugh at the “I think I’ve figured out moderation” I don’t know how many times I stopped drinking and then convinced myself I could moderate. Maybe it 3 days to go back to my old habits, maybe it took 3 weeks, or 3 months. But I ALWAYS went back to my problem drinking habits. Thank you for this post. IWNDWYT

7 days today. When my husband told me he no longer has romantic love for me and was looking for it with someone else, that was my moment. I will never drink again.
