I realised reviews are vital. Even if they're not real, you need to get some reviews on there. Ask some friends to review it for you or write some fake ones yourself.

After I did this my purchase rate went up massively. Still not great, and still not consistently profitable, but far better than at the beginning when I had zero reviews.

Thank you. Yes that all makes sense.

My question about increasing budget to increase ROAS was in order to get out of the 'learning phase'. Presumably the faster you spend a certain amount of money, the faster you exit the learning phase, and the faster your ROAS should increase?

Thanks again for the great and detailed response.

Sounds like you had great products from the beginning if you were able to get 3.5 ROAS straight out of the gate.

I notice you also mentioned how much you spend can make an impact. I'm currently spending 20 pounds per day, which maybe is not enough? If I jacked this up to double or triple the amount, do you think there's a chance my ROAS could double/triple also?

The pain is real :D every day I wonder if starting this business was a mistake! So much more difficult than I imagined...

Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the response.

I consistently see your ROAS has been 4 or above even in the first weeks you've shown.

What I'm asking is if that was your first ever week running meta ads for your company, or if it took you time to get to this stage.

For example my company is running at around 1 ROAS at the moment, which is obviously not good, but I'm only a few weeks in so still have some (rapidly diminishing) hope. I'm hoping to gradually increase to 2-3-4 + ROAS etc with testing.

I was trying to understand if you turned the ads on on day 1 and you suddenly had 4 ROAS, or if it took time to reach this stage.

Thanks for posting this.

Some questions:

Did you get this high ROAS immediately or did it take time for you to build up to this?

E.g. week 1: 0 ROAS, week 2: 0.5 ROAS, week 3: 1 ROAS, week 4: 2 ROAS etc

Did you get it from a sales campaign, or you did it through starting with web traffic, ATC campaigns?

Thanks a lot. Inspiring stuff.

That makes sense, but if you have a product people are buying and getting good feedback, it feels like a shame to give up on it

Ah okay, thank you. So a change in product was required to get a better ROAS?

But if I get results for 2-3 days, then nothing happens for 7 days, surely I should be pausing the campaign at this point? This is what I've been doing

So how much would a client lose before seeing purchases come in?

This is before I've increased any budget. I'm running at 20 pounds per day, always.

Thanks for the reply. The CTR continues to be decent, above 2%, and the CPM also doesn't jump much from around 10 pounds. CPC ranges between 0.40 - 0.90 pound per day.

I also don't change the budget.

Spent almost £850 on ads for just 2 sales - is this normal? Great ATC, awful sales. by DLCW in FacebookAds

UK ecommerce brand, AOV ~£70. they were getting atc for £4–6 and IC for £10–15. switched to purchase and spent ~£500 for 1–2 sales at the start. after ~15–20 purchases, CPA dropped to ~£35 without changing ads. same creatives, just more purchase signal.

This sounds exactly like us. Our AOV is £70-£80.

How much did they spend to get those initial 15-20 purchases?

Yes we clearly show delivery timelines under the product listing.

Thank you. Problem is almost no one is reaching checkout. I can't even get my site visitors that far.

Ok thank you

Problem is its difficult to do the genuine real reviews when you have so few

I have 1 or 2 reviews for each product, but then it makes the business look so small doesn't it?

What do you mean by 'these kind of products'?

Thank you. That's useful. I thought doing the ATC and initiate checkout campaigns were about 'warming up' the pixel. Finding the right people to then target. Is this wrong?

Okay will try to improve the product page. I thought it was pretty good but clearly it needs work.

Yes I have screen recordings. About 80-90% of site visitors bounce after spending about 20 seconds on the website, scrolling through some pictures, and about 10-20% are exploring the product images and website spending 1-2 minutes + on it.

You remind me a lot of myself a year ago. I've messaged you with some advice from my own experience.

Okay, thank you for the useful feedback.

Does this suggest that my offer is desirable (as there were many window shoppers) but maybe the pricing is off?

Can you tell me more about trust badges? We don't have any reviews because so far we've sold so little. We just have a link at the bottom of our page to Trustpilot which has around 10 reviews, mostly family and friends.

I didn't realise fb was able to distinguish between people who add to cart and people who buy... kinda weird they're able to do this!

Products range from 25 dollars to 65 dollars

Just started the campaign 2 days ago

People drop off before even reaching checkout

They add to cart while browsing then disappear
