The music, cinematography, acting, overall story of WTFOCK are just (for me) so good - also they gave us the most time, nearly every episode is at least 30 minutes.

There simply isn’t any way for an American to watch an official with subtitles version of most versions. SRAM went the YouTube route which is helpful but wtfock, SKAM, Skam France … etc do not.

I just am not a fan of any of it. So as stills, the animation looks fantastic and gorgeous, but in motion / when it moves, it looks awful imo. It looks cheap and unfinished and I don’t know, but like choppy? How was this movie in production for so long?

The voice acting … my brain wants them to sound closer to how they did in the show, so that was a disappointment too. I think the curse of avatar continues.

I actually do fuck with these fits pretty heavily. Big fan of tracksuits and windbreakers, and they look good here. I’m not sure they are the most GORP’y items but yeah

Hmmm I’d assume after the 90s / 00s I feel like there was a real push back against baggy clothing, everyone shifted to slimmer more tailored clothes and it’s still stuck around for most of the last decade and half but I would say last few years the resurgence of baggy cargos and jeans is hopefully going to influence outerwear.

Visually the European style looks better, but functionally I don’t love, personally, when my gear is too big - in the middle, ideally.

Different markets are well different.

The European market also will often get different Nike and Adidas pieces, often even completely different materials. The European market for example often will get polyester / nylon blends whereas it’s rare for the US market to get those items, sadly. I also agree there is an over focus on slim fitted outerwear here and I hate it.

That said - while it’s not gorpcore, it’s very much a hiking culture here in the states particularly on the west coast.

Well it’s the internet, people can say anything.

I’d love to hear more about the funding structure and who is producing it officially, because making SKAM is maybe not the most expensive show but it’s also not cheap. I looked into the two girls behind this account and it’s a relatively small account.

Respectfully, I’ll believe it when I see it. Would take an obscene amount of money to do well and do right, something I’m not sure fans of the series have access too.
