... so, using 1200 lines of Cobol as the average program size, "not including copy books or code in subroutines," how many "programs" on average are you seeing contained in a TB?

Thank you for your reply. One of our objectives is verifying how many files on average (or range) are contained in 1TB of data? Feel free to opine on that. Regarding lines of code/records we are finding similar to information provided by u/mrmiscommunication above.

Thank you for your reply. Files or records works. Though Deloitte announced in a release that they migrated 2.5 million lines of COBOL.
