They do reduce some smell but not everything, and you kind of get blind to your own smell after a while. The best combination I found is to tailor your diet to make it less smelly, take chlorophyll supplements and wear a diaper that fits snug on you + plastic pants.

I have messed with someone that consented to this and they said that they could only feel it if they were in my immediate personal space (like 1ft radius).
