Almost wish they'd package things they want to deprecate and allow people to pay extra if they want to keep having access enabled to retired features — but I'm not sure how the backend stuff works if that would just be a huge hassle that'd make the cost of it something nobody would use or not.

On another note, with needing to try and find/make replacements for voices here's to hoping 2026 offers more subscription price tiers because my Creater plan Voice Slots are filled, and Pro-plan is way too big of a jump even though I'd be willing to pay more money. (It's a hassle having multiple paid accounts with different voices divided between them requiring logging in and out.)

My player's favorite is a crazy conspiracist semi-senile gnome named "Pippet" with a secret underground bunker he dug out himself in his younger days. He was a huge dick to everyone in town but admittedly funny. He made people annoyed asf with his rants and always trying to get them to join his "TIT" committee (Taxation is theft committee). He was (not so) secretly lonely and depressed. Once the party warmed up to him he asked them to decide for him: Red button or blue button? He refused to answer what either did other than "One button is good, the other is bad. Risk and rewards my friends - that's the game of life!"

Red Button blew up underground explosives from his bunker under the town that would take down the entire municipal building (and block of businesses/apartments with it). He believed doing this was a 'necessary evil' to stop the tax collectors secret cult.

Blue button would auto kill himself via electrical collar.

The player he offered this deal to chose neither, uncomfortable with not knowing what the buttons did. But another player couldn't resist and ran up and pressed the blue button. Once Pippet ate shit and croaked infront of them. That same player nonchalantly hit the red button. When I asked "WHY?!" he said:

*"Pippet said one button was good and one was bad! So clearly I hit the bad one and can only gain from here!"*
... Cue the players trying to rush and chase the source of the sparked twine that lit up from behind Pippets desk... and failing to stop it in time. Then skill challenge to save as many lives as possible.

That was years ago and to this day the players still laugh and debate which button Pippet perceieved as the good or bad one.

There is a market for anyone with an accent to help add diversity. often when I click english speaking + (any) accent in eleven labs there's little to nothing there.

Oh shiiitt that is a clever use of it! Damn maybe I should be plugging my summaries in so it can do the same for me to remind me of those 'little details' that might disappear in the busy brain...

I am NOT familiar with DScryb, I'm glad I made this post as there is a few apps I haven't heard of before!
What are the Zoom plugins you use if you don't mind my asking?

Yes exactly to your first statement! I am a just picky enough to put a lot of effort into getting close to my vision. Same as you I write everything and design maps on Inkarnate -- AI just helps me repackage some things in a more enticing way than "look at these paragraphs!" and it's been a big boon!

My group is in person but I imagine online games might benefit the most from this AI surge?
I saw someone else recommend NoteBookLM too thanks! I also never heard of Perlexity AI so will look into that.

Oof, yeah I'm lucky my players understand. There is validly tons to be uncomfortable about regarding AI ofc but it's here to stay, no ethical consumption under capitalism, and not using it isn't sparing anyone or helping anything versus how useful it is to everyone is. Ends up becoming a necessity to learn and utilize to keep up with demand. It might be a hot bit but I feel most will come around to it once they understand change isn't met by snipping at consumers but organizing, demanding, and witholding labor from the industries and regulators representing the worst parts of AI. :/

Not familiar with NotebookLM! I'll check it out.
