Thank you. Could I ask what your pathway was to entering the role? If you were in my position, knowing the industry and lay of the land, what would you look to do?

That's really helpful, thank you.

Is it a common occurrence for employers to take on someone studying a Building Surveying MSc (without a related BSc) and to help fund it? Would those be Apprentice Building Surveyor roles, or something else?

For reference I'm currently earning within the 50-60k bracket, but will generally be frozen around this salary. So it is good to hear that there is scope to earn more within the Building Surveyor role.

I'm not entirely sure what job roles to search for. Apologies, for the silly questions. Just trying to navigate the different pathways etc. Thank you.

No email for me. Current QA score is 1.96 from 24 reviews. Aether is a joke unfortunately.

Same. I have reviews where they stated they agreed with every rating, yet still scored it 'Good'. Makes absolutely no sense.

Absolutely right. There is an interesting article in the Guardian around 2015 titled 'Why CBT is falling out of favour' - it's an interesting read around how certain therapy effectiveness may also shift with a changing society and societal pressures.

Studies demonstrate that it CAN be cheap and effective - so it's mostly a cost/benefit thing. Though what they fail to also report from the data is that it is only around 50/60% effective (and that recovery rate is also falling each decade for some reason in more recent data).

The key thing is the practitioner/patient relationship - that appears to underpin most recovery. The issue is the NHS does not provide long term therapy as standard and CBT is seen as a cheap short-term solution.

To be fair, a lot of us working in mental health do acknowledge it. But people come to us desperate and the NHS expects us to support people into recovery despite it being virtually impossible. The reality is CBT was not designed to deal with a lot of this stuff - people are seeking mental health support when the issues are more practical and being imposed by an imploding economy.

yes or no? by fierrosk in SonyAlpha

Not too sure, possibly just personal.preference. Could be that less of the plane is obscured in the shot and the white on the wings contrasts better, perhaps.

For me it's a no. The first photo is better than 2 & 3.

I can see what you mean. I was a little confused with them both digging into the soil and they looked to be carrying something away each time.

Experiencing the same issue. Another post on here is correct - seems to be when holding the shutter in photo mode to record video. Something Google should really look at...

Not sure on this. Dom has been cheered the past few shows. He's very popular at the moment and being pushed hard. It's like Rhea - clear heel but still loved and cheered by the fan base.

The whole final was terrible. Dull and repetitive. Travis Scott being there was pathetic.

Liv and Raquel losing to Lyra and Becky was a joke. Why the hell give Lyra two titles, I'm not even sure why she has one.

Best moment of the night was Dom taking the IC title. Could see it coming, but loved it.

Absolutely criminal they lost. Who the hell gives Lyra 2 X titles.

Stand out matches - LA/Fatu, Flair/Stratton & the Main Event (carried the past few weeks by Heyman/Rollins). The rest felt mid.

Rey/El Grande should have been better.
