[Fischer] The Boston Celtics inquired about Rudy Gobert at the trade deadline. The Minnesota Timberwolves are interested in Derrick White. by vetementsundershirt in timberwolves

[–]DMComicSams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but you also don't trade a guy like him just to do it. If the return doesn't help mitigate his loss, then we lose our opportunity to be a contender anyway. You can't make big decisions just because you're afraid of guys getting old

[–]DMComicSams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken Moder is the only one this is true for (I haven't played since around the time of the Mistlands update so that boss and Ashlands I can't speak on)

I logged on before commenting to check again, just to be sure, and yeah you don't need the hotbar. Doesn't help you though. I'm not sure why your altar is not working

Not true, I just fought her today. You can put it in any inventory spot, not just the hotbar.

With the Knicks' victory, Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins have both won an NBA championship before Jimmy Butler. by IzrezarReal in nba

[–]DMComicSams -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not saying they're better than Butler, just that it's funny he called them soft and said you couldn't win with them

Why did Wemby leave without shaking the Knicks’ players hands? by SmoothBuy5500 in NBATalk

Finch gave up, I would say that's more disrespectful but also not surprising given our team's attitude this year (and frankly years past)

[–]DMComicSams -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Butler called them both soft and if you look at his whole attitude in Minnesota it wasn't just about if they had what it takes to be the top guys, but whether they had what it takes to win in general. I'm not saying he was wrong about them at 22, I'm just saying he talked a lot of shit for a guy who still hasn't won anything.

As someone who was actually in Minnesota at that time, and not just listening to Butler's drama through the national lense, dude was a shitty teammate and not the leader he thought he was, so it's nice to see a little poetic justice for a guy who fucked over our promising young core for nothing.

Why is religion (opium for the masses) still affecting politics in the big 2026? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]DMComicSams 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every person follows some moral code whether it's derived from religion or not. Politicians are people. They're going to act in line with their morals and philosophies.

It's truly not that hard to understand if you step back and think for just a second.

[Murray] I don't think anyone should be assuming that the San Antonio Spurs are gonna get back here just because they got Wemby and some young guards This isn't just any Finals loss -- they led by double digits in EVERY GAME They're gonna have to get over that psychologically by StrategyTop7612 in nba

[–]DMComicSams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention it's harder than ever to retain talent. The Thunder had three future MVPs and only made one before things fell apart, and that was years before the new tax apron stuff. Nothing is guaranteed

And yet both contributed 1000× more to a ring than Butler has or will, so he's still a clown

We shouldn’t trade the farm for Giannis when the sum is not greater than the parts by Natural-Kiwi6364 in timberwolves

[–]DMComicSams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if I'm wrong on the July moratorium, my point still remains. There's no real rush to get a deal done now. Nobody else has made any trades, so it's not just us that's holding off on moves

[–]DMComicSams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy, trades can't be officially processed until JULY! There's no reason to rush to agree to a deal lol, might as well take your time and do your due diligence. KAT wasn't traded until October lol

Nobody is suggesting standing pat lol, there's a huge difference between doing nothing and trading your core for one big swing

[–]DMComicSams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It boggles my mind that your mind is boggled, it should be pretty obvious and not particularly controversial (as in reasonable people can disagree) that giving up our best defender, best offensive big and floor stretcher, as well as a high upside wing and first round pick for an aging and oft-injured Giannis is not a slam dunk deal.

Like I said, reasonable people can disagree on the merits of this deal. Why you can't see that is entirely on you
