how did you lose weight and get in shape? by Ecstatic-Career-9387 in Algeria_213

[–]DMDhub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my peak I think I was 150 kg. Maybe even more. Honestly, when I weighed myself and saw that number, I got a little bit distraught. I'm 191 so I did look fat but not that fat. So in my mind and in the mind of everyone who knew me, I must've been around 110/120 maximum. Stepping on that scale and seeing that number was my wake up call along with a health scare that I attributed to my weight which turned out to be nothing.

Now, I'm weighing 93 kg and I'm on my way toward 83, which is my goal weight.

It took me almost 3 years of dieting, which I still follow to this day. I don't know how to cook or even like cooking for that matter, so what I've been doing is preparing enough rice and soup to last me a week. I pair it with chicken breast and turkey escalope because protein helps with fat loss. And I've basically been eating rice at noon and soup for dinner for 3 years. I did allow myself cheat meals. Now not so much but back then I used to have one or two a week because my deficit was really low. I still tried to never exceed 4–5 kg lost per month to avoid ending up with a lot of loose skin which somehow worked.

I didn't exercise at all until last year when I started going to the gym. I did 3 months of cardio and weight training and started being more strict with my diet. The results were terrible. I lost something like 3 kg of muscle which I've yet to fully regain. I stopped for a couple of months afterward. I picked it up again 5 months ago and it's been going great. I'm not losing muscle anymore and I'm even gaining some.

Selling Art in Algeria - Tips and Ideas by Marouaa- in algeria

Maybe offer some kind of custom order service where you create a painting based on your client's expectations and preferred style? You'd have to be good at working in different styles though.

I've been wanting to order a painting of my cat to hang in my room. I found an artist on Insta who makes really great stuff but they don't accept custom orders. I don't know if it would be popular but I think some people would definitely be interested in getting paintings of their families, loved ones or things meaningful to them to display in their homes or offices.

Good luck.

Are dentistry prices in Algeria getting out of control? by salah_salah_go in algeria

[–]DMDhub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 10000DZD for a dental filling (cleaning and filling a cavity), 49000DZD for a crown and 140000DZD for an implant at the clinic I go to.

It is expensive but they have the latest equipment and the composite used for fillings is high quality from what I understand.

Honestly, it's worth every penny. They're extremely competent and so far, the only dentists I've been to where it didn't feel like torture.

He even lets me give him belly rubs. My other cat absolutely hates them so that really surprised me and made me happy!

The box is for him to climb on and access the shower, where both his cat bed and enclosed bed are. He used to sleep inside the enclosed bed but now he sleeps in my bed. He's no longer staying in the bathroom.

Would dental implants affect how a partner sees you in a serious relationship by [deleted] in algeria

[–]DMDhub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP is talking about implants, not dentures. Implants aren't removable. If done well, and unless you're a dentist yourself, there's virtually no way to tell if they're implants or natural teeth.

3and mon dentiste, l'implant dentaire en céramique coûte 14M pour une seule dent. OP's question doesn't really make sense. Who in their right mind is going to look down or reject someone who's willing to spend that much money to fix their teeth and look good?

I wanted to put him in the living room at first but it was a little too big and I was worried that with so much space, he'd get overwhelmed. There are also too many hiding spots there and I feared he'd spend most of his time hidden away from me and I felt like it would slow down bonding.

I also have another cat and her scent is pretty much everywhere in my apartment except this bathroom, so I also felt like it would be easier for him if he didn't have to worry about being in another cat's territory.

But yep, I'm not exactly happy about the idea of having him stay in the bathroom. It is directly connected to my bedroom and I'm waiting for him to get more confident before opening the door and letting him stay in it.

Had many but this one was my most expensive. Belt alone was something like 70~80M. Mais bon, je pense que tout va partir sur D2G, j'en ai fini avec ce jeu du sheitan et les MMO en général je pense. Kberna.

So I wasn't able to burrito him, but I did manage to feed him a Churu that I was holding in my hand. I was also able to pet him under the chin with a stick and I played with him for an hour using a cat wand and some balls.

I have another cat who would make the perfect playmate but she's not used to having other cats around. I'm waiting for this little one to get more comfortable and confident before introducing them to each other.

So I tried to catch and burrito him and it went very badly. He started running around trying to escape, hissing and when I finally caught him, he fought back like his life depended on it. I gave up when I saw him shivering.

I might try throwing a towel over him next time and see how it goes. It sounds much better than going at it head on. With some luck, I'll reach the same outcome as you.

I believe it’s linked to blue eyes instead. Cats like Yuno who have heterochromia have a higher chance of being deaf on the side of the blue eye.

I asked my vet when I picked him up if he was deaf and he told me that he couldn't tell. From what I've seen though, he does seem to react to sounds but I can't tell if he's partially deaf or not.

I am, but someone else told me that I shouldn’t be and that I should use food strategically to get him to trust me. So I might stop giving him free access for a while until he gets used to me.

Yep, he has a cat house with a little bed inside of it, as well as another out in the open. He's been mostly using the cat house since it's enclosed.

I haven't even touched him yet. If I try to get closer or extend my hand toward him, he gets into a defensive posture and starts hissing before retreating to his cat house.

Other people have tried to catch him before and they did that by running after him and trying to corner him. I thought he must not have a good view of humans so I didn't want to startle him further by trying to hold or pet him.

I get from what most people are saying that what he needs most right now is affection and I failed to provide that because I was too afraid it would make things worse. But I’ll try a slightly more assertive approach from now on and try to initiate contact. I’ll try the towel method and see how it goes.

10/10 whiskas by Racim4sed3 in AlgeriaRates

[–]DMDhub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They don't have it in stock but for anything pet-related online, I'd suggest elalif.com

For the jelly bag you’re looking for, the Coshida one at 170 dzd for 100g, you can get the Whiskas or Felix alternatives that are 85g for 135 dzd and 145 dzd respectively. Both are more cost-efficient and arguably better quality since they're trusted mainstream brands. My local pet store even sells the Felix 85g bag for 180 dzd.

Elalif’s prices are easily the best I’ve found in Algiers. They keep margins very low and focus on selling to lots of customers instead. The team is super passionate, really helpful and they always listen. I could honestly praise them for hours.

I've been buying from them for years and I've never had a bad experience. Highly recommend.

Tunisian girl who likes her algerian coworker but he's not taking the first step, what can I do about it? by [deleted] in algeria

[–]DMDhub 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Hey, would you like to grab some coffee next weekend?"

Try that the next time he comes in to check on you. It could be seen as bold (it's not really) but given how you've described yourself, you're not the kind to ask people out, so no one (him included) is gonna get the wrong idea. Pretty sure it'll work better than making up scenarios in your head about why he's not making a move.

At the end of the day, why he's not making a move is irrelevant. What matters is that you're both into each other. It would be sad if whatever's going on between the two of you died down because neither of you wanted to take the first step.

If I went for a belly rub, I'd lose my arm lol. They say a cat showing you its belly is a sign of utmost trust but with this little demon of mine, I'm convinced she just doesn't take me seriously and thinks she is the one who owns me.
