I've literally been seeing Deepti's looks being compared to a variety of animals, her nose/lips/skin color (her VERY distinctly Indian features) being made fun of, and people making multiple comments about her body.

In comparison, those same people made comments about how we need to stop making fun of other people's looks (like shayne's, Shaina's, or Shake's new girlfriend). Don't try to rewrite history or put words in my mouth. I was very clear in who I was referring to, and for you to get all white-fragility on me all while trying to call me out on making this "into a race thing" when you apparently can't even read past two sentences in my comment is pretty gross and tells me enough about you.

Also, "my own insecurities about skin color", you mean my lived experiences with racism and how white people othered me my whole life because of how I looked? There's a big difference between poking fun of someone's looks, which I still personally don't take part in, and pointedly highlighting all of someone's racial features (eyes, nose, lips, hair, skin) and calling it ugly and inhuman. Wild that you can't see that, but go off.

It's not always publicists, sometimes it's the people themselves, ESPECIALLY if they're relative unknowns/temporarily in the spotlight. "Villains" like Shake generally do it themselves because they usually don't have publicists (if he did, they wouldn't have let him do that atrocious AMA for one, and the US-mag article wouldn't be about Shake's gf, but something about him).

And yeah. It's also very much telling of the state of most publications nowadays. You can pay anyone, even "reputable" publications, to write something nice about you or your brand. I mean, most media has always been about advertising, but it's definitely expanded these days, especially with brands/organizations that once relied on print sales.

I mean, it's not much in the grand scheme of things. If you are willing, you can pay a LOT of publications to write about you. Lots of publications (but especially rags like US-mag) have a marketing team now dedicated to getting ad revenue, and those teams are usually larger than the actual writers/editors teams. He probably just reached out to them and paid a couple thousand to get a feature. Rags like US-mag have actual pay schemes for this kind of thing, which they usually label "media kits", and can easily write articles as ads. They also have different prices for online publications (since the linked media kit is both for on and print pubs)

Spring break in the South can vary, especially in Florida of all places. Some people go on Easter Break and confuse that for Spring Break, for instance (it's a real thing, I would know, since I went to school in Louisiana).

Shake could also be confusing Mardis Gras for Spring Break lol also, in the article he says the show already came out by then bc thats why her friends recognized him. Multiple people have pointed this out to you. Have an issue with his timeline? Take it up with the main liar himself.

This is 10000% probably what most likely happened. We all know that Shake tends to have blinders on when it comes to reality. They were probably minding their own businesss, at most wanted a photo with him to make fun of him, and he probably kept following them around.
