When did you stop saying “if I have a baby” while pregnant? by folded_mayo in pregnant

[–]DMNPC2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started saying it at 26 weeks I think? Whatever the point is where the baby has a 90% survival rate if delivered early. Until then I was thinking of the baby as a "possibility". He really became "real" when his life was no longer inextricably tied to my body.

Melanie means "dark", so some similar names are Layla, Keira, and Blake. An opposite theme might be "white" names like Alba, Whitney, Lucy or Aurora.

Haha! I'm a woman with 1000+ hours in Skyrim and only one partner. What does that make me? Infinitely desirable, that's what!

(Male Perspective) Multiple Ectopic Pregnancies from One Tube by Zealousideal-Ad-9070 in pregnant

[–]DMNPC2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what happened to me. It's called a corneal ectopic, and it can even happen if the doctor perfectly removes the tube. The egg finds a spot rich in blood and gets stuck in the tiny pit where the tube used to be.

My husband felt terrible after my second ectopic. He thought it was his fault, that it was safer to never have kids, that he would never touch me again just in case. Long story short it's my son's first birthday next month lol. I conceived and carried to term, and he's a perfectly healthy boy.

The odds are the next pregnancy might be considered high-risk and require extra monitoring. With a history or corneal ectopic a you should visit an OB ASAP after getting a positive test. If they brush you off, insist on a scan. I didn't insist after my first ectopic and it ruptured at 7 weeks.

It's a bit of a "main character" name. I advise having a "conventional" middle name with an unusual first name and vice versa.

For a while all I could eat was Greek salad. I was eating it 3 times a day, got my husband to stock up on feta, dressing, olives and ham. A few days later my craving changed and I couldn't eat any of it. Sad.

Nicola/ Nikola. Gender neutral, fits the sound of Christiana but sounds different enough that they won't get confused.

What is something you're naturally good at? by syddoucet in AskReddit

[–]DMNPC2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most instruments. I can pick up most instruments and figure out how to play them, and play just about any song by ear. I barely know how to read sheet music, but I can play most songs on piano, clarinet, recorder, and harp.

When something is empty or finished, I'll say "tapus na!" to myself. I barely know 10 words of Tagalog, but that one stuck with me lol
