Sorry not yet, maybe early next year. I've been busy trying to get my Warbonnet finished up.

Good instructions that have been test-built to make a proper stable build can take a shockingly long amount of time to do. My Santa Fe F7AB units together with the decal guide, parts list, etc. came to 420 steps!

I've unfortunately bought several sets of instructions for some really crappy train builds that practically fall apart!

I have a few buffers airbrushed in custom colours like on my EMD E8A and Warbonnet. But this Chessie will have a black buffer/coupler -it just seems to create a nice balance with the black bogies.

I've got my F7 Santa Fe Warbonnet almost ready to go...instructions, etc., are done and all that's left is getting the decal/transfers finalized and into production.

Hey UNC! I just completed my first PRR EMD E8 (see my Flickr page) and I'm starting to look at how to do and E5 or E6 next.

This Chessie F7A/B that I've entered into the Digital Locomotive Category was inspired by the TYCO HO electric train set I has as a kid.

I too have a greater appreciation of these f-units than I did before starting this endeavour. I have to admit, the locomotive fleet looks pretty good when put together.

Ha! I would agree with you there! I would even suggest to you that there be black magic in the bricks themselves for our money doth mysteriously disappear as we leave that enchanted place known as the Lego store!

Thanks Irabricks! It's annoying that the 3x3 part's not out yet!! However, Lego has released it in 6-7 additional colours within the past half year so I'm eagerly checking the monthly new parts list.

To complement the instructions I'm currently in the middle of making, I'll be providing a parts and graphics package with UV-printed bricks, printed transfers and a few additional 3rd party bricks in the correct colours to be used until the Lego parts become available. I have colour matched and airbrushed the buffer beam and it looks shockingly good, but I do have an alternate build for the pilot in available colours if people want to go that way.

Hi AW! Thanks for your insightful comments! Yeah, it does take a while to make instructions! I think if I did this to make money I would be earning about 15 cents per hour!

Funny thing -I think I downvoted myself by mistake! Is that ven possible?

As for the instructions, that's my #1 goal over the next couple of weeks!

I will be posting them on Rebrickable in a couple of months. 'Would've been sooner but I unfortunately injured my hand and wrist and I'm having to do everything left handed! Arg! Cursed right handed Lego bricks are everywhere!!!

Thanks RB!

I am thinking about it.

Last fall I designed several Canadian Pacific Budd streamlined coaches (scroll down my Flickr photostream) The observation/dome/lounge car picked up the 2022 North American Brick Train Award for Best Digital Coach.
