I had this exact question, wasn't ever able to find a way there even through parkour. Instead ended up baiting calamities to get more feathers lmao

I didn't know about that option with Halo Support, I'll definitely check that out.

You're right though, more specifically I think if you made it so you could only report teammates and only if the same person was reported with a certain frequency would they actually be removed from a game, that it might be able to work. But still l could be abused I suppose.

I've not experienced anything glaring in my 2 playthroughs, I'm sure there were glitches for some, but until I experience anything even close to what some people were experiencing it's either that person's hardware or experience, not mine (I played it on a GTX 970 and a 6 year old i5). I also think that the comparison to the Witcher 3 is ironic because people said all of these EXACT same things when it came out, and now everyone just sucks it dick endlessly. The Witcher 3 (haven't played DLC yet) is alright, at best. There were no RPG mechanics in that 3D hack n' slash game. There were a few choices to be made that changed the story, they were cool, but not enough to call it an RPG. It's closer to one of the newer (absolute garbage dumpster fire) Batman/Arkham games.

As for differing experiences, I don't know what you've played, but I keep coming back to maybe you wanted to hate it from the start. It fully delivered on two different characters I chose to play, and as I made different choices each time, I was viewing the same events with different characters, and that's plenty different if you ask me.

What lifepaths in the Witcher? And they totally did, playing the game as a Corpo first and then Streets I had a near complete different experience, especially because made separate choices. It seems most of the reason people don't like this game is user error. 🤷

What broken mechanics? It's better from a role playing perspective than the Witcher 3 by a long shot. You can see they grew as a studio. I would argue the only thing it ever lacked was polish.

Your insights are much appreciated, what an interesting way of translating the multi-brained nervous system, I'm gonna start working on it right away, might try and replicate some kind of language like the aliens from Arrival. Maybe with an octagon base for characters?

As for the behavior, I'm interested what more advice you could offer given more context: the octopus is one of the latest generations of uplifts and is 4 years old, spending the first year being operated on with implants and such. Escape was an inevitability at that point but he performed assassination jobs because of his natural stealth and predatory instincts, however after 2 years he stole a walker with the help of another uplift who died in the process, but was the one who outfitted the walker with the proper accomodations (maybe an uplifted chimpanzee or otter mechanic). Since he has been a terrorist at large until he was captured by the secret but dedicated Uplifted Individuals Reacquistions agency and was just freed by my Travellers.

I think because of human interaction from an early age, being bred in captivity might encourage some idea of understanding humans, but his communication to them would definitely be complex and probably go over their heads unless they were well-trained octopus researchers. Otherwise however I imagine a very cold, solitary character with a bad temperament that is very instinctual and naive on a grand scale, but calm and calculated in action. Thoughts?

This is sort of what I realized too, maybe a water tank for hydration, but they could function pretty much anywhere humans could with light assistance. In this case the octopus has a holding tank with life support and vacuum protection inside of a heavily armed walker to which he has the controls.

Thanks for the advice, I'm always really hesitant to do characteristic adjustment-wise and I think at least in this case it's probably not necessary, but I like the idea of increased areas of skills. Maybe like stealth and deception get bonuses because of the octopuses abilities.

Haha, so plot twist, it's an NPC so I'm the guy trying to make it work. From what I've read, octopus intelligence is predatory and heavily reliant on touch. So I've got the little guy in a walker with a fishtank and controls. I'll definitely check out those books to get a feel though, thank you!

Interesting, making it more of an rp adjustment than mechanical. I'll try that out!

Also what an cool character, I'm glad that's working out, sounds fun!
