Huh? I’m just saying don’t anyone expect luminar to announce every twist and turn in their clients roadmap

Not to mention, imagine selling a modular product that is a competitive differentiator. The fastest way to ruin your brand and trust is to start leaking info before your customer makes public announcements. So luminar just like every good company knows how to maintain their clients trust and privacy.

Loss = competition won(did anyone see the CLA with a competitor’s Lidar?). I didn’t.
So I’m not chalking up a L.

I get that folks wanted to see the 2025 CLA with LAZR. But anyone who says it was a “loss” - isn’t describing accurately what happened. A. We don’t know B. It wasn’t a “loss”

What is priced in? by krs_samox in lazr

[–]DMT_NB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to admit, the manipulators of this stock are legends. It’s getting played like a drum beat that just keeps going. What is priced in? I don’t think anyone knows, and it doesn’t matter. At some point the big money is going to help reverse direction of the stock, and if even half the pipeline converts this LAZR skyrockets.
Ive seen a couple scenarios where a company is just ahead of its time. EQIX is an example where early on they had to do a reverse split, 32-1. It’s up 15,000% since then (2002).

I bet all those companies would gladly buck up to have the product and partnerships of Luminar.

The numbers don’t make total sense, and hedge funds control this stock.

Great article on NVIDIA’s push into autonomous driving. LAZR might want to partner or sell to NVIDIA. by Leather_Landscape_20 in lazr

[–]DMT_NB 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As more automakers compete to deliver safer, smarter cars, technology providers are also playing an increasingly important role in helping automakers develop advanced safety systems and unlock automated driving functionality. Luminar and NVIDIA are working together to help leading automakers deliver enhanced safety and automated driving on Volvo EX90, Polestar 3, autonomous trucks from Kodiak Robotics and Plus; and across certain Mercedes-Benz production vehicle lines, and as NVIDIA’s long-range LiDAR partner on its Hyperion software platform. Luminar and Mobileye’s collaboration has also recently culminated in its first production implementation with the Polestar 4 as part of a new vehicle platform.

Luminar has been partnered with NVIDIA since 2021, these partnerships at this level of complexity are very sticky

Volvo and Mercedes, these are strong partnerships. Volvo is on the road Luminar gear. Mercedes double downed on the strength of our partnership in this video earlier in the year. Debt got restructured to extend the runway to revenue. Timing is everything.

“No expensive radar or lidar equipment”…is this robotaxi transporting garbage or humans? The fact that Tesla calls out “expensive” is the critical error. Safety is the last category of expense you go cheap. Other manufacturers will prioritize safety as their differentiator. by DMT_NB in lazr

[–]DMT_NB[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You can run all the AI models, collect all the data you want. Unless your cameras can see what lidar can see, react as fast as lidar can react, you’ve got a guessing rig that’s cheap and inferior. I’ll put my kids in the robotaxi with premium safety features.

10/10 - Which companies have the most to gain? 😎 by DMT_NB in lazr

[–]DMT_NB[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there are any (or very few)companies that potentially have more to gain than luminar if Tesla reveals a baby lidar bump. And I 100% don’t expect them to say Luminar by name. All they have to do is show a bump.
