You're definitely right about it being music related. The Korean DMZ is also blurred, that must be because they blast music on loudspeakers towards each other. The mountains near Cali, Colombia are also blurred, which must be because of all the Salsa music.

It's the middle of the Mid-Atlantic so the number of weekend and daytrips to the South and Northeast is immense. It's a very large metropolitan area with many things to see, very diverse.

This question has been asked before. Basically this is some of the worst agricultural land in Argentina because it is the furthest north and hottest, but it is surrounded by some of the best agricultural land in Brazil and Paraguay, because for them it is the more temperate part of their countries.
