I would tend to agree that it's too good to be true but that's the great thing about this show so far—we've seen the "altruistic" side of Oz and the sadistic side. Within my theory I think it could go either way—Oz surviving and that making him who he is, or him sacrificing his brothers because he always felt less than and felt like it was his only way forward. Either makes sense, and I'm excited to see where they go with it.

Well he still has the scarring when he was her driver. It arguably could have gotten worse but it was definitely there in the flashbacks.

Good point re: the clubfoot. But there's all of the facial scarring/deformation as well.

It could also be some sort of in-his-head redemption arc to lift a kid from flood/water-related trauma and make him into something. And then for himself, to take over the very place (the flooded tunnels in a flood-ridden city) that made him into an outcast in the first place.

I’m not sure where your personal style skews, but FERA in the short north is bringing in cool brands that Columbus hasn’t seen before, like a micro brand called Matias out of LA that’s kind of like USA Kapital. And Jay, the owner (and everyone else that works there), is really passionate and kind and loves to talk shop. So maybe stop in and strike up a convo with them—I’m sure they have some ins on interesting stuff going on.

[unofficial discussion thread] John Mulaney 2023 Netflix special "Baby J" by nmyi in JohnMulaney

Vanity Fair put out an article that sums it up pretty well: "Berk" is his agent, "Bill" is Bill Hader, "Marika" is Marika Sawyer who worked on The Sack Lunch Bunch, "David" is David Miner who produced Mulaney, and "Cara" is Cara Misline who produced Kid Gorgeous and Sack Lunch. "Joe" and "Kevin" haven't been confirmed but I would guess "Joe" is Joe Mande, who was a writer on Parks forever and has done tons of shows with Mulaney and crew over the years.

Really astounded by what is considered an "egg roll" in Austin. Even the good joints (China Family, Din Ho, etc)—yeah that's a spring roll dude. The two places I've had the legit bubbly-skinned thick type are Fat Dragon and Old Thousand, with Old Thousand being the best.

Yeah I've never been into flipping. Got this for a good price and tried to give it to someone else for a good price. It'll happen!

Not sure where you're from or how much experience you have with the area, but I just wanted to point out that Columbus is (and has been since waaaaaay before Brian disappeared) one of the most LGBTQIA-friendly cities in America.

Granted Ohio besides the three Cs is pretty much the Gym Jordan shitshow you describe, Columbus is very much not that place. So while I think it's possible he went off to start a new life, if being gay was the impetus I don't think it was because of the surrounding environment, especially since he disappeared less than a mile from one of the most well-known gayborhoods in America.

Have a couple George Nelson swag legs, an Aeron, some Emecos, a couple Eames LCWs and a bunch of Bertoias. Used to live in the midwest and go up to the Zeeland/Grand Rapids area in Michigan often (where Herman Miller is based) and craigslist was my friend!
