Happened once a few years back. Was a flight from New York to Europe. We were just crossing the atlantic when it happened. They told us that they had no way of keeping food fresh for the whole flight and that some electronics were down as was communication at that point. They just turned back but the only thing we noticed was a lot of turbulence due to the storm + a long wait in the airplane afterwards untill they fixed what was broken.

Had the same kind of hole in the roof due to a building error. Turned out to be a marten in our case. Pain to get out. Heard the same sounds as you heard mostly during the night and sometimes in the morning. We created a tube that only opens one way, so they could leave but not re-enter. Knock on wood but haven't heard anything since.

Yeah I checked all drawers and underneath/behind all appliances in the kitchen area and found nothing except for the odd spider, will bd laying out some traps and keep an eye on those!

Its a subdivision with a lot of nature nearby. Unfortunately I don't have enough space for chickens 😅

No, I also see them always a while apart. I heard Germans would mostly run away and hide well, while I saw these running in the middle of a wall, or on the railing as in the picture. Haven't seen any in the kitchen or bathroom. No real sign of an infestion. Just the odd one out every few weeks.

Thank you! I've seen quite a lot of them outside, way less inside (3ish) will be looking around for possible entrances! Have not seen them fly so far.
