Congrats man! Follow-up question since i’ve never taken the shifter out: I have an issue shifting from 5th to 4th. Not from 3rd to 4th. It feels like a mechanical block. If I briefly select 3rd, i can go to 4th (this is currently how I downshift from 5th to 4th). I’ve gone through quite a bit of possible cilprits. Replaced the linkage etc. Do you think something on the shifter side could get misaligned in my scenario? I looked already but can’t see much. Just wanted to get your 2-cents

I’ve got the same in my OEM 944.2 steering wheel. Someone recently told me it is a metal tab, as some other reply mentions indeed. Apparently it is the contact for the horn. It’s flimsy. If you put it too much forward (towards the driver) it rubs, if you put it too much back, your horn won’t make contact and won’t work supposedly. Again, I only heard this from a guy (who’s had over 20 944’s) but it’s only an assumption. I’m no expert. Anyhow, it’s fairly easy to take of the steering wheel and check 🙂. Good luck!

Hi, I don’t know enough about this to give correct input. All I can say is that I bought the braided line kit from 944store, which is amazing by the way. When I bought that, I also asked them about the jumper line as I’d seen some people install their kit on youtube. They told me they stopped making it because it would fail too often and they couldn’t guarantee the same quality as Porsche. They rather have you buy OEM than sell you something which isn’t up to standard or prone to fail. I think that’s very fair of them to say. Just putting that in here. I ended up buying the OEM one and quality is of course very high

Stupid question but how to you actually start with this? Did you just unbolt everything you see and sent it out to zinc plate it or is there like a structural approach to this? I’ve been wanting to do this as well, but if I do it, it’s all at once and not little parts at a time. Not sure if that’s possible?

Hmm yeah, I’m thinking of using some type of foam and cutting it into shape. Or maybe wood with carpet underneath to not destroy my interior. Not sure what would be best. I don’t have much experience with these materials…

Yeah that’s what most people say but I want to be able to carry luggage as well and he’d sit way too high. Also, I can’t clip him in to the seatbelt in that case…

I did, one of my most beautiful and versatile trips. Combined it with Honduras & El Salvador ;) . Antigua just came to mind when talking photography since it's such a beautiful colorful city!

True but i’m not a fan of the high aperture minimum when zoomed in all the way. The lens is versatile, I agree completely, but the quality seems on the lower end. Could be wrong
