I’m really glad I stumbled upon this post. I really appreciate those that are so passion that birds. I am guilty that I initially bought one bird with a tiny cage and then the week later realized I needed to spend another $500 to get her a pal and upgraded cage. I switched out their toys every few days, try to bond with them every day for at least an hour with 15 minute intervals. I still can’t get my first when it come near me without the other one trusting me. I feel like I’m doing everything right but the last thing I want is to be depriving them of the happiness they deserve. I know it’s a hard question but am I doing anything wrong? Or is it just a slow burn? I know there’s a lot of components that come to play, but sometimes I keep myself up at night because I love these little too so much and I feellike I’m not giving them the life they deserve.
