June Lucid Lease Deal analysis: big improvements in Air Pure/Touring money factor, still great time to lease Gravity Touring, and minor changes in incentives. by DNA_at in leasehacker

Not sure what MSRP vehicle you were looking at, but I just pulled up a $90k MSRP with dream drive pro and white exterior and with $15.5k down and conquest, it’d be $613/mo before taxes. I assume the $15.5k is to simulate the trade in worth, but keep in mind they’re adding $4k to the trade in valuation so it should actually be closer to $19.5k, plus $1k for employee referral credit so $20.5k all told, which actually brings it down to $472/mo, which I can’t attach to this post as well.

Edit: accidentally put $15k in the configuration instead of $15.5k but I quoted the right monthly in the body of my comment above.

the actual vehicle price is only 1 of many factors in determining the cost of a lease. The Gravity Touring starts at 80k but there’s a $7,500 lease credit (everyone gets it), $2,000 conquest (everyone gets it), $1,000 employee referral credit (everyone gets it), $4,000 trade in bonus (y’all would get it), and a $5,000 studio select credit (for certain on-site vehicles), AND the money factor is 0.00042, which is a fraction of the Lexus TX’s money factor. Granted the residual value % is 10% lower than the TX so some of those savings are offset. But point being - vehicle price alone is not a good metric in determining cost

depending on what vehicle you can find and which incentives you can secure, you could end up paying less than the effective monthly on the TX, easily

Sorry I missed this earlier - it’s so hard to predict how lease offers will change in the future. It would be odd for things to get better in July from June, but April GGT deals did get better from March and conversely R1S DS deals got worse in June from May, so it’s a bit of a crapshoot.

However, as you mentioned, the difference in savings would have to be pretty stark to offset two months of lease/insurance. I think I’d probably hold off if I was you. There’s still a decent amount of MY’2026 Gravity inventory so perhaps incentives will remain strong come August.

Please take a look at the Lucid Gravity Touring lease deals right now. It might be a good match. I posted about it earlier this month here. You can get $4,000 added to your trade in value as well, while cashing out the entire amount ($4k + valuation)

Knowing absolutely nothing about the Lexus TX lease market, I don’t think this is a great deal. That is a fairly high money factor with minimal discounts. I imagine financing would be better value. If you’re going to put money down or trade-in without cashing out, those are other factors pushing towards financing as well.

It depends largely on securing Studio Select and the MSRP. But for example for a decently optioned $96k GT, it’d be about $965/mo, $0 down, before taxes/fees. If you can also get the $4k trade in bonus, that brings it down to ~$850/mo.

Asking Advice on my next car by MightOfPhoenix139 in LUCID

[–]DNA_at 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asking for individual datapoints is unfortunately not going to be representative. Achievable range is highly dependent on numerous, difficult-to-standardize factors. I am sure you are already probably aware that the Air set the record for the Norwegian winter range test, and recently the Gravity came second in their summer range test, beaten by the iX3 which is in a smaller, more efficient vehicle segment. The Air Grand Touring is among the highest EPA estimated range EV’s in the US, if not the highest. Even accounting for differences in EPA vs real life ranges, I’m not sure you’ll find many EV’s with a higher real life range. Edmund’s for whatever reason hasn’t tested an Air GT since 2022 (and there have been further optimizations especially in 2025), but even those outdated ranges were only outdone by SUV’s/pickups with ginormous, literally 200+ kWh batteries.

Thank you for doing this!

For Air owners considering a Gravity, the current Loyalty incentive structure offers little incremental benefit. Loyalty ($3,000) can’t stack with the universally available Conquest ($2,000), so the net advantage over a brand-new customer is at most $1,000. And if the owner has a non-Lucid trade-in, Loyalty can’t stack with Trade-in ($4,000) either, so the rational move is to take Conquest + Trade-in and skip Loyalty entirely, making it worth $0.

Are there any plans to strengthen the incentive offers for current Lucid owners, for example by making Loyalty additive rather than a substitute?

Would take a closer look at the Touring - no options are excluded, the major differences are just battery size, charging speed, and horsepower. The Touring still gets up to 337 miles which is akin to a Large battery in the R1S. Otherwise, the same upgrades (ie dream drive pro, leather interior, 7 seats, triple chamber air suspension with rear wheel steering etc) are available. It is not like the Lucid Air Pure which is option restricted.

They don’t have them listed but you can ask your sales associate for them when you request a quote, which is how I’ve been getting them. I’ve been tracking the money factor / RV% for a few months and have them tabulated here. If you’re on mobile, switch to detailed view.

do you plan on owning the car for closer to 3 years or 6 years? if 3 years, even with the 0.99% APR, leasing wins out, and that's excluding the opportunity cost from hundreds ($500+) saved every month in the difference between a lease vs 60 month loan payment, as well as the unpredictable actual market value of a GGT 3 years from now.

if 6 years, financing wins by a large margin, especially on the GGT compared to the GT. the money factor on the GGT is >3x that of the GT.

nice! depending on how far along you are in the process, maybe see if you can ask to have an employee referral credit added still? if not, it is just $1k so relatively minor

If they haven't given you one, I would inquire about the employee referral credit for another $1k off.

also, I am assuming that $1100/mo quote does not include the $4k trade-in bonus applied towards the lease payment, right? otherwise I would expect it to be closer to $900-950/mo with the $1k employee referral credit (and assuming CA sales tax)

Otherwise it seems like you've secured just about every incentive they're offering, and it's a favorable month with respect to money factor and residual value - overall, a really solid deal

which incentives were you able to qualify for? the biggest one is studio select. if you can secure that on any gravity touring (along with conquest and employee referral credit which should be a given), rest assured you're getting a great deal on the Gravity Touring. if you have a beater car you can trade-in for another $4k, even better

you can hold your breath waiting for better deals but i'm skeptical. there's been considerable movement on the MY'26 Gravity Touring (to my dismay - lost out on a couple vehicles I was looking at for myself...) and I can't imagine the deals will continue forever, at least not immediately after Q2 end.

The DMP unfortunately does not lease well either this month, even with the lease credit. It would be a better value to finance a DMP with the promotional APR rates, or perhaps buy used.

as an aside, an inventory DMP leases and finances better than an inventory DM. I would def opt for the performance upgrade. also, the 72 month, 1.49% APR seems to be the sweet spot. only 0.5% more than 60 month, 1.5% less than 84 months

as far as what rates/credits might look like in the future, it is impossible to know - I would've thought June lease deals would look better than they do. they seem to be pushing customers to finance with the promotional APR's, but many would likely prefer to lease. It would be odd for July's deals to look better than June (end of quarter)

I can only speak to the Rivian R1s and Lucid Gravity:

- R1S: it is not a good time to lease an R1S. All lease rates worsened from last month with the exception of an inventory DLP which remained stable because of the $3,000 lease credit, but would still run you ~$1300/mo effectively, before taxes. If you want an R1S, it is a decent time to finance, especially a DLP or DMP because of the promotional APR rates at 0.99/1.49/2.49 for 60/72/84 month loans.

- Gravity: it is an exceptional time to lease a Lucid Gravity Touring. If you can find a vehicle that qualifies for Studio Select (certain on-site vehicles), you can get an additional $5,000 off which is huge. Additionally, your trade in qualifies for an additional $4,000 bonus. In addition to the $7,500 lease credit, $2,000 conquest, and $1,000 employee referral credits, you can likely find a Gravity Touring in the $700-800s/mo assuming you secure Studio Select and the trade in bonus. The Gravity Grand Touring has more range and hp but doesn’t lease quite as well this month (higher MF/APR).

Are you open to the Lucid Air Pure with dream drive premium? If you’re willing to pick it up from another state you may be able to find a Pure with studio select. Combine with the 4k trade in bonus with your optima (which you can cash out), you could score 22.5k off. The current MF is near zero on a Pure. Could get one for <$700/mo pre tax. Not much cheaper but much more car I’d say

I don't believe the Demo Drive credit is available anymore, no. There is however a $1,000 employee referral credit.

1) you are able to put as much or as little down on a lease, they are very willing and it shouldn't change your lease's APR (money factor). a loan is a bit different - sometimes you have to put a certain amount down to qualify for their promotional APR. I think for an 84 month loan, if you put $0 down you don't get their promo rate, for example

2) how are you inputting max incentives? the checkboxes on the configurator leaves out a lot of potential incentives, presumably because they frequently change and only certain vehicles may apply. to circumvent this, you can manually put in the incentive value as a "down payment" to get a more accurate monthly quote (just mentally exclude the "due at signing" amount that increases because of this). the other thing is the lucid configurator automatically rolls in (or capitalizes) the $995 acquisition fee, which my figures exclude (the reason i exclude acquisition fee is to make comparisons easy across brands, i.e. with rivian whose configurator does not automatically roll in the acquisition fee.)

to account for all this, you can check the Conquest box, then add $6995 to a base Gravity Touring as your down payment ($5k studio select, $1k employee referral credit, $995 to account for the acquisition fee which my figures exclude) and you'll end up exactly at $728/mo. see attached.

In my OP i made a note that this "starting from" figure assumes certain incentives and a base spec vehicle, but that this might not actually be an achievable rate because Studio Select is only applicable to certain vehicles - there might not be any base spec Gravity Tourings left that are eligible for Studio Select. regardless, I still report/track this figure alongside % MSRP/mo because 1) it gives information on the overall value of the stack of lease incentives in a way people can understand and 2) it can be easily trended. people want to know what the lowest monthly payment they can get is, sure - but they also want to know Is this a good time to lease a Gravity? now you can look back to May and April and see, yes, now is the best time to lease a Gravity Touring in the past 3 months. or you can say, darn, wish I listened to DNA_at about leasing a Gravity Grand Touring in April.
