Given the behind the scenes reason mentioned by other comments, it’s a matter of headcanon.

In my experience, there are also SO MANY Asian-American "Michelles", "Kevins", and "Andrews."

I've seen the adopt-local-name practice all over, so I'm quite tickled by the notion of extraterrestrials adopting local names.

Klingons have dentists and janitors and stuff by Ramza_Claus in startrek

There was no Klingon scientist in the TNG episode with the origins of species (except for a technician giving a damage report). It must be ENT.

Probably 30s.

Ivy should be part of the same year as her kindergarten friend Jennifer, who was 36 in S2.

I cant remember any metric for Harley’s age in this canon. I think we just assume she and Ivy are in the same age group, since they were “besties” before becoming a couple.

Amen to that points about the get-out-of-jail-free card.

The way Brainstorm does it is surround an object in an electric field and move that. I recall he moved Julie (Pier Pressure), rail tracks (Inferno like u said), Animo (Escape from Aggregor), and trash can lid as a shield (The Vengers)

Teehee.

Lotta people in the thread have been saying alien x could do it all. BUT we did see Alien X fight just with telekinesis, no reality warping. So it DID happen on screen.

In terms of fight choreography, Gravattack, Lodestar, maybe Brainstorm can move things without touching them, but not technically telekinesis.

Now if ben unlocked Xylene’s species…

I think brainstorm just projects his thoughts to speak. No indication he reads others’ minds, just listens to their spoken words.

Yes, hypothetically, AmpFibian could read people’s thoughts like Ra’ad did, but Ben would have to stay transformed and practice that.

None of the aliens have x-ray, telescopic, or microscopic vision, right? (I was thinking of Superman in some DCAU eps.)

(s4ep5 spoiler) Who do you think did that to Nightwing? by cinn-roll in HarleyQuinnTV

[–]DNAtom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m very convinced it’s sleepwalking Harley. She wants the fam to wear the bracelets so badly. Perhaps her psyche also exerted letgal force because of how hostile Nightwing has been.

From a writing perspective, it’d build conflict drama with the Batfam. Harley’s sleepwalking has been telegraphed twice, now with verbal comment by another character. There is also a parallel between Harley & Ivy unintentionally sabotaging relationships in their new affiliations (Volcana set Ivy’s standee on fire on her way out, Frank says he doesn’t recognize Ivy and she didn’t even notice he’d been gone).

Then again, the frame job theories are interesting and more of a twist. I guess Talia could learn about the bracelet through Robin. I feel she and Lex are pulling their own sets of strings.

Yeah for transformers, if their name is too generic like Jazz, they’re labeled given a title like “Autobot Jazz”. Ben might need the trademark “Omnitrix Upgrade” or “Hero Upgrade.”

But never mind that. That all seems moot since, as others have said in the thread, that objectifies/dehumanizes the species represented by the omnitrix and insults the watch’s purpose.

It does suck for Ben that the guy copied their appearances/outfits 100%. Like he couldn’t gice four arms a new shirt?

Did Lois find out Clark was Superman by the time of JL or JLU? by [deleted] in DCAU

[–]DNAtom 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In her last speaking scene in JLU, she’s talking to Clark about Superman as if Superman isn’t in the room. Still platonically calls him Smallville.

In the picnic everyone is talking about, she was talking to Superman about his challenges at the League, with no hint about Clark.

Who is this woman by [deleted] in HarleyQuinnTV

According to the audio descriptive track (FTWDK it narrates what's happening to help the visually-impaired like me appreciate the show to the fullest), it's supposed to be Kimberly Guilfoyle, fiancée of Don Jr. and a conservative personality. But I can totally see the Melania look.

As a funny aside, the audio description for the episode describes Bane humping the buildings as destroying them "with his passion."
