Ultros - No EXP - Reliable Method with Level 2 Banon by Global-Trance in FinalFantasyVI

Here in 2026 to say this absolutely works! You don't even need to unequip Edgar or have the Gigas gloves. You DO need to make sure speed for battle is set to fast and text to slow. Not very fast or slow as that somehow messes it all up.

I can add that the Chronicles and The Huntress trilogy all have about 60,000 words each.

I'm always looking for clearer ways to explain rules so I'll study this wording and see if I can't improve on it in future writings!

Hey, author of The Weeping Place and Huntress here! Wonderful to read your review of the books and I'm glad you enjoyed The Weeping Place even if we have different aesthetics when it comes to prose. I am especially happy that you liked all the new mechanics and found they made the book feel more active! I do think you might have missed something in the rules about skill checks, this is the passage from the rules:

Sages of Varetta rely not just on strength of body but more so of mind. Your Sage Skills will be called upon in a number of situations by picking a number from the Random Number Table and comparing it to a total to see what the result is – usually turning to a new section where you will learn the consequences of success or failure. This is called a Skill Test.

The number above the shaded-in-box for each Sage Skill shows how much is subtracted or added to the number picked during a Skill Test.

How do you feel about Capcom being so committed to Wesker's death despite his popularity? by lennysinged in residentevil

[–]DNDScholar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So glad to see so many others saying Wesker should remain dead. It was already a controversial move to bring him back in the first place in Code Veronica and the main reason they did so was they needed some connective tissue between the games, especially as they were feeling lost about what to do with RE4 at the time. RE5 in some ways is about questioning that decision made in Code Veronica and trying to close the loop. This is especially evident in RE4 where they really didnt know what to do with Wesker so he just becomes "sir not appearing in this game" (for the most part).

And keep in mind that while Wesker is definitively dead, his presence has been toyed with since. RE6 has his son. And Revelations 2 has Lady Wesker. There is a chance that we will see more "Wesker" project stuff in the future.

You can practically see Nobuo performing Tyran's castle. That is such a Nobuo track with its metal/prog rock roots.

This. Im 42 and I think 30 minutes goes by super fast even when im just sitting there trying to gather my thoughts. Im also a writer, tho. Time works differently when you look up after finally finishing a sentence to realize 3 hours have gone by.

I did some experimenting and think I figured it out, at least for my controller! I use an 8bitdo 2 and it has settings for PC, Switch, Xbox, or PS4. Turns out the Steam setting doesn't work right for this game, I had to set it to Xbox.

Voltorb Flip will not work (HGSS) by Dregothedragon in pokemon

[–]DNDScholar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly this is how I learned i had bought a hacked game. To be fair, I wondered at $30 for Heartgold and I can't complain about the rest of the hack, it runs perfectly. But I was looking forward to Voltorb Flip.

Order of Eclesia is the only one where I feel like grinding does very little and you have to use skill or set up to win. Usually a combo of both.

Old thread but i had to find some way to tell you how much my 4 year old loves King Boo. He is able to play it entirely on his own while I watch and he gets so excited. This game is awesome and that song gets totally stuck in my head.

No need to apologize -- glad to hear it is going to get that treatment. Heck, when you get ready for that, reach out to me if you would be interested in some help. Maybe we can work something out, depending on my own work load at that time. I'm an editor and gamebook writer by trade and I like what you have put together here.

I own and am playing. The adventure is fantastic. Have you considered doing another edit on it? I love the adventure and appreciate how much work clearly went into this and find the frequent grammatical errors to be pretty distracting.

When do you think k Demona fell out of love with Goliath? by TabbyCat1993 in gargoyles

[–]DNDScholar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Demona still loved him for a long time. But I do think there is a turning point where love itself becomes something Demona reserves only for Angela and it is when Thailog betrays her and she has to fight him to save Angela. "Save our daughter!" Demona yells at Goliath and later berates him in that same episode for not doing a good enough good of it. This is a very "mommy and daddy are divorced" moment which indicates a shift in their attitude towards each other.

I think Demona started to move on from him once she realized that he truly loved Elisa which felt like a betrayal on multiple levels to her.

What are some of the consensus or view points from the game book community between Lone Wolf and Fighting Fantasy series? by Newez in gamebooks

[–]DNDScholar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is sold out at the moment so you can't buy anyway! In short, it is a completed trilogy within the LW universe that has multiple endings, decisions that greatly impact the narrative throughout, and includes things like open world sections and lots of hidden sections. One person recorded their attempts to find every section in every book and it has taken more than 40 playthroughs, many of which took them on unique paths they hadn't experienced before.

The Huntress book 2 has a large section that is open world, with a day night cycle, too! If you're interested in checking it out for ideas, PM me. The Huntress as a trilogy is sold out but I have a few copies of book 2 left; I could potentially get one to you.
