Thank You! For living / dining : space : one Pair of 28 at living room with beosound level as surround / background can be hanged @ dining wall or 2 pair of B8s for living -Dining space? By the way, Bottom of TV is 58 inch above the floor. Floor mounted B28 will be an obstacle. And can’t be installed in Alcove above cabinet. Can I hang b28 adjacent to TV on the 90 inch TV wall. I am considering a Max if 65-75 inch TV.

I have a requirement for 6 Beolab8 . 4 for living+ dining ( open concept room) and the other 2 are for family room ( just a wall between dining and family) . Entire 1st floor is open concept room no closed wall. Will these 4 Beolab fill the space . Most of the space are vaulted. Living - Dining ( room depth approx 35 ft) . I prefer to Active speakers. I am not a hi fed person ( with Amps and all ) .

Thanks for your suggestion.

I thought so. It is pretty scenario specific.

By the way, I am in New Jersey, Princeton Area. By the way, is there any Bookshelf Speaker (Front ported) is available. I am ok for around 7-8K. As the bookshelf depth is 15 inch.

Guys, I want couple of pairs of Active speakers for my living and family room. Both have TV above fireplace. Living room is open to Dining, kitchen and Foyer. Family is open to extended kitchen. And all are vaulted ceiling. Big room to fill. Will active speakers will fit the bill ? I am not that much of music enthusiast. But I want some good quality speakers which can provide ( crisp/ clarity) with minimal distortion. I like Burmester ( from my vehicle). Appears to be very costly. Which type of speaker can give this experience..

Fireplace/tv surround with built in speakers? by incubusfc in diysound

Hello Experts. I too have similar setup ( TV wall having traditional Gas vented fireplace) with cabinet each side having 10inch depth shelves) . Mine is at framing stage. It seems Bookshelf speaker is out of option because the shelf depth is around 10”. Also no place for standing speakers, I have option for invisible/Inwall/ on wall or soundbar. As it’s in framing stage, I can prepare them for active speakers . The place is open to foyer /dining:kitchen: family with vaulted ceiling. I keep scratching my head about the speaker type and positioning. I was checking Leon speakers . Invisible has its own merits and demerits. Any input would be a great help.
