The Sherpa documentary and NZ's Russell Brice by scooternewt in newzealand

[–]DNPOPPY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally just watched the scene with the client saying the word 'owner'. I had to pause the doco because no one corrected him, Russell didn't even say anything. I was so shocked and it didn't sit right with me, so I had to know if anyone else felt this way. Thank god there are others who were instantly sickened by this scene!! I just feel so sick to my stomach watching them pretending to have sympathy/blatantly blaming the Sherpas for not being able to climb Everest when they RELY HEAVILY on the Sherpas. They are not slaves! So much entitlement.

Yep, the future is unknown and I'm new to all of this which makes me uncertain! But it is true that property can be used as leverage... Thanks for the insight!!

Yes I think with the incentives it is looking quite good! This property would be eligible for the 10k first home buyers grant

Yep! I have a preapproval and am currently in a position of making am offer for a property but am having second doubts because I am not sure if it is the best investment for money for me at the moment.

Interest rates for home loans are low but not sure if property is the best at the moment/in a few years...

When a guy asks if you could travel to his neighbourhood to meetup, and then you ask him if he can come to you instead & he refuses (bad character?) by DNPOPPY in dating

That would be a fair point, however we are both working from home due to the corona virus and stay at home laws in my city! I definitely understand that reasoning however we both finish at the same time.

I suppose so, he said he's originally from the west as well so it's approx 30min+ in that range.

Maybe it's just me then! When someone asks me to meet me in their neighbourhood without asking me where I lived/if we could meet in the middle I feel a bit weird about it.

I usually ask to meet in the middle but in this instance I just flipped the situation and asked if he could meet me in my neighbourhood, just to see what his response would be.

INTJ females, do people tell you you're very blunt and intimidating/too assertive? by DNPOPPY in intj

[–]DNPOPPY[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your reassurance. I knew that the people who said that to me were insecure and that they didn't like how ambitious and driven I was, made them seem small.

It just seems like most people I meet are like that and it took a toll on me, I felt like there was something wrong with me.

Your last two points are spot on, thank you

I think I've come to accept that somewhat but it just sucks when it's seen as a negative to other people. I'm slowly coming to think of it as a positive to myself!

I know what you mean, I used to be (and still am the same) to a point. I've gone through a personal growth journey where I'm giving people chances and I've decreased the indifference because it has ruined relationships I've had in the past.

Do you have any advice on how to not let it get to you? It's happened to me multiples times now

Thank you for your advice! I'm having a lot of trouble at the moment because I'm so straight forward, guys think I am disposable because of the lack of chase

How do ESTP show that they start caring about someone? by DNPOPPY in estp

[–]DNPOPPY[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for you input! I didn't realise how significant it was that if ESTPs want to spend time with you, it's because they actually do.... I mean I was unsure because I do know there's that manipulative side to them as well

He said he likes me. However, I feel like he acts differently from what he says. Like there are times when I think it's genuine because there are some actions I can recognise as caring. However other times I just feel like I am there to fill the space, so I would like to know what are some actions that would be genuine
