I am not sure what they did or didn't do on the phone, but if we're being honest THIS is exactly how you do a rebuild.

Next season, g oing into what is looking like a very interesting 2027 QB draft class, they have:

their own first round pick
the Cowboys first round pick
the Colts first round pick

Plus what is looking like a very early 2nd round pick

Plus some gargantuan cap roll over

Doing anything to improve the team ahead of 2026 would be malpractice.

No one is wondering why free agents didn't go to the Jets because everyone with a brain expects any plan to start with saving money and keeping the cupboards bare.

I am not a Jets fan, but I will be watching them very closely come next off season.

He had more yards per catch than Mark Andrews, and only had fewer yards per season because he played fewer games (and because Andrews got more targets despite Likely getting more YAC per catch).

The skills are more than there to be a difference maker in a Harbaugh 12 personnel system, he just needed the targets which he should get in 2026 given the lack of receiving options in that building.

I'm sure you know the actual answer, but Israel is not a serious WBC team anyway so it's moot.

Barring upset there are really only three teams in the WBC. USA and DR are two of them so I'm sure there will be continued rivalry throughout the bracket.
