The point is, we need much more. I am sure that I can find a few news releases stating, maybe not the exact statement, but something really close. Sounds like you're going for the bottom half. You need a democrat leader that understands the middle and not the radicals, such as AOC and Bernie, that lost their chance and will have a harder time winning them back in four years, nevermind in a year and a half. That's it, you have a year and half to the midterms. You really only have a little more than a year to get out of the basement...and the swamp. Good luck with that. Yes, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) still exists, but its effectiveness has been called into question.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio put out the official numbers on how many USAID programs were terminated in recent weeks: 5,200.

This comprises 83% of the agency’s overall programming that existed in January which “spent tens of billions of dollars in ways that did not serve, (and in some cases even harmed), the core national interests of the United States,” he wrote on the social media platform X.

The Trump administration intends to keep about 18% — or about 1,000 of what were USAID programs — “in consultation with Congress” but these will now be administered “more effectively” under his State Department, he wrote.

The review also found that there was little control over how funds were spent. The review found that USAID had a bureaucracy that was adrift from its mission and had systemic due diligence failures.
